U.S. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal, D-MA, to Deliver Congressional Keynote at the 22nd Annual TCPI Symposium

WASHINGTON, February 1, 2021 – U.S. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal, D-MA, will deliver the congressional keynote address at the 22nd annual Tax Council Policy Institute (TCPI) Tax Policy & Practice Symposium to take place virtually on February 10 through 12.

Chairman Neal will discuss his priorities as the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee as well as what he believes can be accomplished under the Biden Administration. He will deliver the keynote on the final day of three-day symposium.

Chairman Neal has served in the U.S. House of Representatives representing Massachusetts since 1988. Since January 2019, he has served as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. He has spent his career focused on access to affordable and dependable health care, a fair tax code, and the dependability of Social Security and benefits.

On February 11, IRS Large Business and International Division Commissioner Douglas O’Donnell will discuss what the rise in globalization and digitalization means for tax administrations. O’Donnell oversees tax administration activities for corporations, subchapter S corporations, and partnerships with assets greater than $10 million and is also responsible for administering the tax law that affects individuals with international activity. O’Donnell began his career with the IRS in 1986 as a revenue agent.

Business Roundtable President & CEO Joshua Bolten and former Ernst & Young LLP (EY) Global Chairman & CEO Mark Weinberger and will open the symposium with a keynote conversation on February 10. They will share their perspectives on the global business environment and the policies that will shape it in 2021 and beyond.
