WirelessInbox lets you quickly and easily access your existing corporate and (POP3) e- accounts directly from your VoiceStream phone! Once you complete a few simple sign-up steps from your phone, you can start sending and receiving Internet (POP3) e-mail immediately.

To begin sending and receiving your ® or Lotus Notes® corporate e-mail right from your phone, all you need to do is first download a small one-time application to your office computer.

WirelessInbox is included with your iStream service. To take advantage of WirelessInBox, you must first be an iStream subscriber. Here’s all you need to get started:

• An iStream-ready mobile phone or other data device. • Outlook® 97 or later, or Notes® 4.6 or later corporate e-mail. • A full-time connection to the Internet. • Microsoft Windows® 95 or later, Microsoft Windows® NT Workstation 4.0 Service Pack 3 or later, or Microsoft Windows® 2000. • Microsoft ® 4.0 or later. • Microsoft Exchange® or Lotus Domino® company mail servers.*

*Ask your company’s Information Technology (IT) department if you are unsure of your mail server type.

Although you can sign up for WirelessInbox Internet (POP3) e-mail service from your phone, you may find it easier to sign up for service from your desktop PC. Also, if you need access to your corporate e-mail, you will have to sign up from your desktop PC. For help with this, see the section “How To Sign Up For WirelessInbox From Your PC” later in this guide.

1. Access the Internet from your VoiceStream phone by launching your phone’s web browser (varies by model).

At the VoiceStream menu select and press OK.

Select Wireless Inbox and press OK.

How To Sign Up For Wireless Inbox From Your PC.

You must sign up from your desktop PC if you want to access your corporate e-mail.

1. Sign up from your PC by going to www.VoiceStream.com. • Log on to MyVoiceStream.com. • Enter Phone # (or UserName) and Password.

• Click on the MyiStream tab at the top right of the MyVoiceStream.com page.

• Scroll down to the Premier Partners section and click on the Wireless Inbox - E-mail on Your Phone button.

• Click on either the Sign Up Now! or Sign me up for WirelessInbox! link. page 6 • Fill in the on-line form. All fields are required. Your E-mail address is the address of the mailbox where you wish to receive any important service information. You may elect not to receive any non service-related information by un-checking the box below your e-mail address.

• To review the Privacy Policy for WirelessInbox, click the link in the Personal Information section. To review the Terms and Conditions for WirelessInbox, click the link above the Cancel button at the bottom of the page.

• If you are setting up your WirelessInbox account for the first time, a “setup wizard” will automatically start and guide you through the process to mobilize your existing mailboxes.

page 7 Note: If you already set up your WirelessInbox account on a prior visit, simply log in to WirelessInbox, select the E-Mail link on the left side of the Web page, and click on the Add New Mailbox link.

• Select the Corporate mailbox type if you want to mobilize your Microsoft Outlook® 97, 98 and 2000 or Lotus Notes® 4.6 and 5.0 e-mail. You should be connected to your corporate e-mail server to configure this access.

• Follow the on-screen instructions of the Mailbox Setup Wizard - Corporate. This will walk you through the setup process to enable you to access your work e-mail, calendar, and contacts from your VoiceStream phone - or any PC connected to the Internet while you’re away from your desk.

NOTE: Your desktop PC must always be connected to your corporate network in order to receive your latest corporate e-mail and calendar appointments on your phone. page 8 • Select the Internet mailbox type if you want to mobilize your existing POP3 mailboxes. Note: Hotmail®, AOL®, and CompuServe® 2000 do not support POP3. AOL® Mail access is available on your phone by launching your phone’s iStream browser and selecting “E-mail” then “AOL Mail”.

Yahoo!® Mail and CompuServe® Classic (version 4.x and earlier) must first be enabled for POP3 access. To configure your Yahoo!® e-mail for POP3 service: 1. Log in to your Yahoo!® mail account. 2. Click the “Options” link on the left side of the screen. 3. Click the “POP Access & Forwarding” link. 4. In step 1 choose “Web and POP Access”, and in step 2 choose “HTML messages”. Then click “submit”. To configure your CompuServe® Classic edition e-mail for POP3 service: 1. Log in to your CompuServe® account. 2. Enter the command Go: POPMAIL (if you have difficulties, contact CompuServe® for additional help).

WirelessInbox can also be used to extend your personal desktop address book to your VoiceStream phone. To import your contacts, click on Contacts on the left side of the Web page and select Import Contacts (Microsoft Internet Explorer® required). Follow the on-screen instructions.

page9 When you’re at home, at the airport, or virtually anywhere - log in from any PC connected to the Internet to view your E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar (Calendar requires setting up your Corporate mailbox for access).

Using the criteria that you select, set up Alerts to notify you on your VoiceStream phone when important e-mail messages have arrived in any of your mailboxes.

Use Quick Text to create short messages that you can use to minimize typing while you’re mobile.

To log into WirelessInbox from your VoiceStream phone: 1. Launch your phone’s web browser. Then either: a. Select “MyiStream” and press “OK”, then select “WirelessInbox” and press “OK”. Or b. Select “E-mail” and press “OK”, then select “WirelessInbox” and press “OK”. 2. Select “Login” and press “GO”. 3. Enter your VoiceStream phone number and press “OK”. 4. Enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number that you set up earlier) and press “OK”. You should now be logged in and ready to read your e-mail, find a contact, or check your calendar! For more help on-line, log onto WirelessInbox from your desktop PC and click on Help.
