All of history, as we now know it, has been revised, rewritten, twisted and tweaked by selfishly motivated men to achieve and maintain control over other men. When one can understand that everything is comprised of “energy” and that even physical matter is “coalesced” energy, and that all energy emanates from God’s thought, one can accept the idea that the successful focusing of millions of minds on one expected happening will cause it to happen. If the many prophecies made over thousands of years are accepted, these are the “end times” (specifically the year 2000, the second millennium, etc.). That would put us in the “sorting” period and only a few short years from the finish line. God has said that in the end-times would come the WORD--to the four corners of the world--so that each could decide his/her own course toward, or away from, divinity--based upon TRUTH. So, God sends His Hosts--Messengers--to present that TRUTH. This is the way in which He chooses to present it, through the Phoenix Journals. Thus, these journals are Truth, which cannot be copyrighted; they are compilations of information already available on Earth, researched and compiled by others (some, no doubt, for this purpose) which should not be copyrighted. Therefore, these journals are not copyrighted (except SIPAPU ODYSSEY which is “fiction”). The first sixty or so journals were published by America West Publishing which elected to indicate that a copyright had been applied for on the theory that the ISBN number (so necessary for booksellers) was dependent upon the copyright. Commander Hatonn, the primary author and compiler, insisted that no copyrights be applied for and, to our knowledge, none were. If the Truth is to reach the four corners of the world, it must be freely passed on. It is hoped that each reader will feel free to do that, keeping it in context, of course. Mount Shasta: The Vital Essence, A Spiritual Explorers Guide. Escondido: Eureka Society, 1999. 154 pp. Subtitle: To the Natural and Man-Made Consciousness-Enhancing Structures on Mt. Shasta The author recounts spiritual lessons and experiences from several decades of travel to Mount Shasta. Sand Flat, Grey Butte, Panther Meadows, etc, are described as special places. The author has a spiritual communication with a spiritual being named Duja, on Mt. Shasta and elsewhere. The book begins: 'A small group of very dedicated people, The Eureka Society has been coming to Mt. Shasta, California, for thirty years. They come to communicate with a spiritual being with whom many of them have had spiritual experiences while camping, hiking, and meditating on the mountain.' (p. ix). 'Although Duja, or any of the spirit beings on the mountain for that matter, may appear to be standing still she must have complete control of attitude, conscious focus, mental velocity and be monitoring the expenditure of energy necessary for you to see her.

This led them to an absorption with the Jewish creation myths in Genesis, which they obsessively reinterpreted to formulate allegorical explanations of how humans ended up trapped in the world of matter. The basic Gnostic story, which varied in details from teacher to teacher, was this: In the beginning there was an unknowable, immaterial, and invisible God, sometimes called the Father of All and sometimes by other names. “He” was neither male nor female, and was composed of an implicitly finite amount of a living nonphysical substance. Surrounding this God was a great empty region called the Pleroma (the fullness). Beyond the Pleroma lay empty space. The God acted to fill the Pleroma through a series of emanations, a squeezing off of small portions of his/its nonphysical energetic divine material. In most accounts there are thirty emanations in fifteen complementary pairs, each getting slightly less of the divine material and therefore being slightly weaker. The emanations are called Aeons (eternities) and are mostly named personifications in Greek of abstract ideas.

Kodansha is one of the leading publishers in Japan, and one of the largest in the world. While we are a general publisher, we are also one of the major publishers of Japanese comics, or manga, with a long and distinguished history of releasing some the most popular titles in the world, including such classics as Sailor Moon, Akira, and most recently, Attack on Titan. This brief introduction covers manga titles available from our U.S.-based manga imprint, Kodansha Comics, which publishes selected manga from our broader Japanese list into the English-reading world. While the wide variety of genres (for all audiences) and long, complex storylines of manga can be bewildering for the uninitiated, we hope to break down some basic concepts here. In particular, we hope you take away from here a few key points about manga, and in particular digital manga, if you’re not familiar with them already: MANGA ARE THE KIND OF COMICS YOUNG WOMEN LIKE TO READ. Unlike most Western comics, manga is made for all categories, catering to all audiences, from young children to adults, girls and boys. In particular, manga has exposed the stereotype in North America that girls don’t like comics and are often the preferred type of comics young women like to read. MANGA SPEAKS TO TEENS.
