TRUMAN STATE UNIVERSITY/KIRKSVILLE Truman State University is committed to providing a high-quality liberal arts and sciences education to academically talented students from across the state of as well as from all parts of the world. Truman attracts smart and curious students fueled by the desire to turn their intellectual and emotional connections into action, whether in a profession such as medicine or education, in an endeavor such as scientific research or business leadership, or through community and public service. Here are some campus highlights: • PICKLER MEMORIAL LIBRARY—complete with lots of open space, window seating, views of the Quad, and a large atrium—features Starbucks, computer labs, group meeting and study rooms, assistive technology lab, and many other student services available. The Student Union Building also has plenty of spots where you can eat, socialize and attend events. • Our RECREATION CENTER provides a place to stay active and healthy through the use of our multiple gymnasiums, weight room, cardio equipment, fitness classes, intramural sports, and more. You can also swim laps at the university Natatorium. • THE QUAD, a large grassy area in the heart of campus, is a fun and relaxing place with all kinds of spontaneous events from Frisbee, to yoga, to an energetic game of Humans vs. Zombies. • DEL & NORMA ROBISON PLANETARIUM, a 60-seat, 1,800-square-foot Planetarium and Multimedia Theater. - Location: Kirksville, Missouri - Population of Kirksville: Approximately 17,000 - Size of campus: 180 acres
