Competition Handbook 6-8 MARCH 2020 COMPETITION HANDBOOK IN ASSOCIATION WITH WWW.EOBC.CO.UK FACEBOOK.COM/OPENBEACHCHAMPS INTRODUCTION Welcome to the 27th edition of the Paul Roggeman European Open Beach Championship, the largest three day beach fishing competition in Europe. Paul started the European Open Beach Championship in Bridlington and it is remarkable to see that a small two day beach fishing competition has grown and developed into what it is today. This has been made possible by Paul’s tireless hard work and dedication to make the event a success. This matched with your fantastic support is what has helped make the championship so unique. Last year’s competition was a huge success and saw a great attendance of new and old anglers battle it out, congratulations again to our Overall 2019 winner, Chris Fisher, Junior Champion Josh Wilson and Female Champion Cheryl Robinson. Our 27th year will see as always, an exceptional prize table, with huge cash prizes and THE HOME OF SEA ANGLING fantastic fishing equipment to be won! Competitors will be able to pick up valuable experiences, tactics, skills and techniques whilst enjoying a fun-filled weekend meeting new and old friends. Some of the top companies within the industry will be exhibiting to provide you with an insight into all aspects of sea angling. The Sea Angling Adventures Team will return for 2020 as we look to provide competitors with fantastic coverage in the build-up and during the Championships. Expect heavy tackle losses. Venue: Beware, the cliffs can be very muddy. Access: Good, easy access via sandy path (low cliffs). HORNSEA North Beach Venue: Wide-open sandy beach. Great beach on flooding/larger tides. Venue for the 2020 EOBC Flattie Bash. Access: Good access to the beach via steps. 9. KILNSEA - Free parking at Morrow Avenue Car Park. Venue: Beware of heavy erosion and potential dangers due to unstable structures. Expect some heavy tackle losses, as bottom is littered - Cod, rays and whiting. with remnants of gun placements. Access: For easier access approach beach to the right of road end. - Pay and display parking ‘Bluebell Car Park’ 5. HORNSEA Middle and South Beach (at the road end by ‘Sandy Beaches Caravan Site Ltd’). Venue: Sandy and fairly steep beach. Good beach on flooding/larger tides. - Some disabled access although not wheelchair users. Gullies can vary with a continuous North-Easterly wind. - Cod, possible skate and whiting. Venue for the 2020 EOBC Flattie Bash. Access: Good access to the beach via Promenade or steps. - Pay and display ‘Leisure Centre Car Park’, ‘Broadway Car Park’ and ‘Eastgate Car Park’. - Cod, rays and whiting. The relevant listed activity is Section 5.1 Part A(1)(b), “The incineration of non-hazardous waste in a waste incineration plant with a capacity exceeding 3 tonnes per hour. The permit implements the requirements of the EU Directives on Industrial Emissions and Waste. The main features of the installation are as follows: The installation is designed for the thermal treatment of waste wood derived biomass fuel. Energy will be recovered from the installation in the form of electricity, principally for export to the national grid. In addition the facility will be ‘CHP ready’ so that when a district heating market becomes available, the provision of heat to supply a local network will be achievable without any modifications to the installed system. The facility has a total capacity of approximately 76MW (thermal input) and is capable of generating up to 23 MWe (gross) of electricity with the capacity to export 21MWe to the national grid. The installation is located at National Grid Reference TA 22500 37400, approximately 10km south of Hornsea and 16km northeast of Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire. The site is located upon former agricultural land located between Tansterne Lane and the B1238 near Aldbrough village.

The USA has been produced in accordance with guidance issued by Defra for reporting progress under the system of Local Air Quality Management. The role of the report is to chart the progress made by the Council in improving air quality since the publication of the 2009 USA and subsequent Annual Progress Reports. The USA identifies all new pollutant sources, existing sources that have undergone relevant change, and any new or changed receptor locations relevant to those sources. Two diffusion tube monitoring locations are identified by the report where the annual mean NO2 objective was exceeded in 2011. For all other monitoring locations, the report concludes there is no risk of any air quality objective being breached at any location of relevant exposure within the East Riding of Yorkshire. In line with national policy, the Council will next produce an Annual Progress Report in 2013, which will include further assessment, supported by additional monitoring, of the two identified exceedences in order to determine whether there is a need to proceed to a Detailed Assessment.

In addition, two inquisitions omitted from the former series are given at the beginning. The Inquisitiones post mortem, that is, those strictly so called (for the whole series are included under that designation), are inferior in interest to those published in the first volume. The details of the holdings and the services due for them are usually very meagre, and contrast unfavourably with the wealth of information afforded by the surveys made after the death of Edmund de Lascy in 1 248 (Vol. I., p. 47). So far as they go they are valuable as confirming and amplifying the conclusions which were set forth in the Introduction to the former volume. There it is stated that the normal holding of a tenant in bondage (bondus) was a bovate or oxgang of land.
