While this progress toward modern mobility sounds positive, it comes with a multitude of complexities. A survey from the Ponemon Institute shows that 62 percent of auto manufacturers surveyed believe that they’ll experience a malicious attack on their software or components within the next 12 months. Another consideration that the Ponemon research brought to light is that 84 percent of automakers and their suppliers aren’t sure that cybersecurity practices are keeping pace with evolving technologies.
