SCC is located in a distinguished suburb of Toledo and features an exquisite golf course, fine dining, social activities, swimming and tennis experiences for members and their families of all ages.

Sylvania Country Club has recently invested about $2.4 million into building a new aquatics center, new hard tennis court, an extensive remodel of the member Centennial Grille and golf course improvements including: • New golf course short game area • New tees to both shorten and lengthen the course • Reworked green complexes • Fairway and tree work

The golf course was designed by Willie Park Jr. who twice won the British Open. His work includes a number of great courses in both the US and UK and he is in the World Golf Hall of Fame. SCC has hosted a number of events over the years including the Ohio Amateur on multiple occasions (once won by Arnold Palmer) as well as Pro-Am tournaments that included Jack, Arnie, and other top pros. In fact, Jack and Arnie first met at the 1954 Ohio Amateur hosted at SCC.

Sylvania Country Club offers Golf and Social memberships. Golf members have unlimited access to the golf course, pool pavilion, swim and dive teams, tennis courts, as well as clubhouse usage for member dining and social events. Social members have access to the pool pavilion, swim and dive teams, tennis courts, as well as clubhouse usage for member dining and social events. Social members have the ability to be a guest of the golf course five times a year.

Our memberships are family memberships with spouses and children having equal usage of the Club. Children of members in both membership categories are invited to participate in junior golf, junior tennis, swim & dive team and water ballet.

Golf Members (Golf Members) are required to participate in the annual programs listed below. (All Members are welcome to participate in any of these programs throughout the year.)

Food & Beverage Minimums Food and Beverage minimums are a fixed amount the club requests you consume within a quarter. All food and beverage items, including alcoholic beverages, purchased anywhere at the club including the tennis courts, 6th tee, and pool are applied toward your quarterly minimums. Food and Beverage purchases from a hosted or sponsored Club event will also be applied to your minimum. Minimums are determined by your last name (below). *Tax and gratuity do not count toward your minimum. Sales tax of 7.25% will be added to monthly dues, and any unused minimums. Service charge of 20% is applied to all food and beverage.

Evans Scholarship Foundation

The Evans Scholars Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Golf, Illinois that provides college scholarships to golf caddies. Sponsored by the Western Golf Association, the Evans Scholars Foundation has helped more than 10,600 caddies attend college since its creation in 1930. The Evans Scholars Foundation was founded with money earned and donated by famed amateur golfer Charles Chick Evans.

To be eligible to apply for a Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies, all applicants must meet the following requirements: strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character.

1. Strong caddie record: Applicants must have caddied, successfully and regularly, for a minimum of two years and are expected to caddie at their sponsoring club the year they apply for the scholarship. 2. Excellent academics: Applicants must have completed their junior year of high school with above a B average in college preparatory courses and are required to take the ACT. 3. Demonstrated financial need: Applicants must clearly have a need for financial assistance. 4. Outstanding character: Applicants must be outstanding in character, integrity and leadership.

Applicants are evaluated and compete on the above criteria for the limited number of Chick Evans Scholarships for Caddies awarded annually. The Scholarship Committee will interview finalists and the final selection rests with the Committee.
