2019 STAFF On Friday, May 10, seniors enjoyed a delightful evening of dinner and dancing at our “Born To Be Wild” Senior Prom. This was a wild and Rick Maynard Director magical event enjoyed by all. Larry & the kitchen crew will be serving their famous clam OFFICE chowder, hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, salads & of course, strawberry shortcake for dessert! Ellen Clow We’ve agreed that The VonZells, with their Hawaiian shirts, smooth style & songs that take you down Taryn Erb memory lane, will be the perfect band to entertain us at this popular annual event. Todd Rake, Custodian FATHER’S DAY LUNCH: On Tuesday, June 11, 12:00 noon we’ll celebrate our fathers with a delicious DRIVERS lunch of Pot Roast, mashed potatoes, green beans & a special dessert. All fathers will receive a gift to Dawn Albert let them know how much we appreciate them. We will be graced by the talent of Ashley Allen, mezzo Larry Bonora soprano, who will perform a concert titled “The Sounds of America,” featuring music from Broadway musicals & popular patriotic songs. Ms. Allen, a native of Guilford, has performed in numerous leading Jerry Fucci roles with various opera companies in Connecticut, New York & Virginia. She currently sings with the Chuck Hart Tabernacle Baptist choir & teaches Music Appreciation at Craven Community College in New Bern, NC. Melissa Kellog Ms. Allen is a proud wife and mother. Pianist Carol Wright will accompany Ms. Allen in the afternoon’s Dennis Marron performance. Cost is $4.25. Sign up on the lunch list.
