The American Dream The American Dream An Opportunity, Not An Entitlement January 17 - 19, 2015 In the fall of 2011, the original concept and goals of the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention were first conceived and an effort established to hold a unifying gathering of grassroots activists from across South Carolina. The Convention’s purpose is to bring together Authors, Philosophers, Doctors, Conservative organizations and elected officials to share and discuss fundamental principles, latest research and suggest solutions for the crises facing our nation in peril. The Convention provides a platform for transparency in an environment, unencumbered by “political correctness” and where our 1st Amendment rights remain in full force. Since 2012, every speaker invited to the Convention has been strongly encouraged to speak honestly and boldly about their ideas, issues and solutions. As long as the Constitution remains the “Law of the Land”, no one is above it and it must be enforced equally and totally without prejudice or exception. We want to unify rather than divide the American people and if truth is on the table, then people are free to choose how they will pursue their American Dream. Joe Dugan is the executive producer of the Convention and has been a Tea Party leader, organizer and activist since 2009. His strongest passion lies in educating citizens and leading grassroots efforts to educate and inform. In 2011 Joe conceived The South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention and rallied volunteers to help him bring national and local leaders and experts together to discuss the issues facing our nation and South Carolina. Through the efforts of Joe and his dozens of volunteers, thousands of people have been educated and trained by experts addressing significant issues facing our nation. The 2015 convention is the fourth consecutive produced by Mr. Dugan and his team. 2015 South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention Thank You to Our Sponsors EVENT PLATINUM SPONSOR Event Bronze Sponsor Individual Sponsorships Americans for Prosperity Freedomworks _______________________ Speaker’s Hospitality Suite Mr. Donald Trump _______________________ Sunday Coffee Break Sponsored by the _______________________ Monday Coffee Break Mr. Donald Trump ✯Live Streaming of the Convention Provided by Tea Party Patriots✯ Convention Agenda FRIDAY _______________________________________ 1:20 PM Matt Batzel, American Majority 5:00 PM Welcome Party - For Convention Attendees Atlantic A Show me the money; professional political fundraising SATURDAY _______________________________________ 1:20 PM Conrad Quagliaroli, Cherokee Tea Party Patriots 9:00 AM Matt Robbins, American Majority Main Ballroom – How to get the most out of a Atlantic A Tea Party meeting Ten Steps to Full Speed Ahead in 2015 _______________________________________ 2:20 PM Break - All 9:00 AM Aubrey Blankenship, American Majority Main Ballroom 2:30 PM Joe Dugan, Executive Producer Building a Grassroots Machine (That Lasts!) PLATFORMS AND OUTSIDERS IN PARTY NETWORKS: THE EVOLUTION OF THE DIGITAL POLITICAL ADVERTISING NETWORK Bridget Barrett A thesis submitted to the faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Chapel Hill 2020 Approved by: Daniel Kreiss Adam Saffer Adam Sheingate © 2020 Bridget Barrett ALL RIGHTS RESERVED ii ABSTRACT Bridget Barrett: Platforms and Outsiders in Party Networks: The Evolution of the Digital Political Advertising Network (Under the direction of Daniel Kreiss) Scholars seldom examine the companies that campaigns hire to run digital advertising. This thesis presents the first network analysis of relationships between federal political committees (n = 2,077) and the companies they hired for electoral digital political advertising services (n = 1,034) across 13 years (2003–2016) and three election cycles (2008, 2012, and 2016). The network expanded from 333 nodes in 2008 to 2,202 nodes in 2016. In 2012 and 2016, Facebook and Google had the highest normalized betweenness centrality (.34 and .27 in 2012 and .55 and .24 in 2016 respectively). Given their positions in the network, Facebook and Google should be considered consequential members of party networks. Of advertising agencies hired in the 2016 electoral cycle, 23% had no declared political specialization and were hired disproportionately by non-incumbents. The thesis argues their motivations may not be as well-aligned with party goals as those of established political professionals. iii TABLE OF CONTENTS LIST OF TABLES AND FIGURES .................................................................................................................... • Reportedly at the Hands of White Nationalists
TRUMP AND HIS SURROGATES LOUDLY PEDDLED DEBUNKED RIGHT-WING CONSPIRACY THEORIES TIED TO QANON AND WHITE SUPREMACISTS, GIVING THEM FALSE LEGITIMACY SUMMARY As Trump and his allies searched for justifications to claim electoral victory, the far-right online community played a pivotal role in originating claims for the campaign to push. Conspiracies from white supremacists, QAnon supporters, and long-time conspiracy theorists were elevated, disseminated, and pushed out by the president and his allies. There seems to be a direct flow from the furthest right reaches of the internet and the official spokespeople of the president —including the president himself — such as: • The president promoting numerical figures developed by “TheDonald.Win” — an online community founded to openly post hate speech and calls to violence — in an attempt to prove his false voter fraud claims. • Promoting “Stop The Steal” events planned by white supremacists, including one that led to a stabbing reportedly at the hands of white nationalists. • Lending credibility to the mysterious, propagandic twitter account “Election Wizard,” which promotes election conspiracy theories and follows noted white supremacists and QAnon accounts. • Using a QAnon promoted conspiracy to fire a top elections cybersecurity official. The star power helps the organization raise up to $300 million annually. Since 2009, however, the Met has received federal grants totaling $1.2 million from the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities (NFA-H). While the Bush administration does not yet explicitly call for changing the regime, it advocates working with the Iranian people as opposed to the unelected theocracy in Tehran, which is an implicit policy of regime change.

Such a plan or guidance will provide more clarity and transparency for future such programs and may avoid potential misunderstandings.
