10:00-10:45 AM Guided Tour: Firestone Library. Explore the newly renovated Firestone Library on a guided tour. See our beautiful spaces and learn more about our world-renowned collections and expert staff. This tour is first-come, first-served with a capacity of 90. Meet the tour guide in the Discovery Hub on the first floor.

This tour is also available on Friday at 2 PM.

12:00-1:00 PM Guided Tour: Princeton University Art Museum. With collections of over 100,000 works of art spanning the world from antiquity to the present, the Princeton University Art Museum is one of the finest university art museums in the world. Join us for a Highlights Tour of the collections and get to know your Museum. This tour is first-come, first-served. Tours meet in the museum lobby (McCormick Hall).

This tour is also available on Friday at 1:30 PM; Saturday at 2 PM and 3:30 PM; and Sunday at 2 PM.

12:00-2:00 PM Guided Tour: Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. Come see the U.S. Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) in a 120 minute tour by PPPL physicists and engineers. PPPL is a national laboratory dedicated to developing magnetic fusion as a clean, plentiful and abundant source of electric energy. The tour will visit PPPL’s major experiments, including the National Spherical Torus Experiment-Upgrade test cell. (No open-toed or high-heeled shoes for the tour. Children ages 10 and over please. A government ID is required.)

This tour is limited to 100 guests and pre-registration is required; those who signed up for this tour will have their names on a list when they arrive at the lab.

Please note: this tour is at our Forrestal Campus, 100 Stellarator Road, Princeton, NJ. A shuttle is available to PPPL from main campus. Please see side 2 of the campus map for shuttle information.

1:30-2:30 PM Guided Tour: Campus Green Tour. The Office of Sustainability’s student-led Campus Green Tour highlights sustainable campus features ranging from rain gardens and solar panels to a green roof. Each stop demonstrates the University’s progress toward reaching its sustainability goals. Please wear comfortable shoes; this is a walking tour that is about a mile in total. This tour departs from the GreenSpace in Frist Campus Center, 100 level.

Self-guided Tours: (In)Visible Princeton

“(In)Visible Princeton” is a series of four historical walking tours of campus. The four themes focus on stories of African Americans at Princeton, “firsts” on campus, Princeton traditions, and women at Princeton. Tours are web-based and mobile friendly, available on any device with an Internet connection. They include interpretive text and audio narration in addition to images, audio, and video.

Take a tour in its entirety, or use your phone’s camera to activate individual stops from QR codes on color-coded stickers placed around campus. All four tours are available at bit.ly/PrincetonHistoryTours
