2014 MAY EDITION CARTWRIGHT REALTY CAMP MACK CLASH Low water made for lots of bass caught at the CARTWRIGHT REALTY sponsored Kissimmee tournament, taking a hefty 18 plus pounds to get a check. Only 10 teams did not get a limit, making it a great turnout for fishermen and bass. 4 bass qualified for the TROPHY BASS PROGRAM. Bob Grosso had 2 fish that qualified. Thanks to Camp Mack for letting us use their stage. As a large club we need to be on a stage setting if we can to promote our club as a large outstanding club. Let’s thank CARTWRIGHT REALTY for sponsorship this month. If you need a house, or buying a house, get with CARTWRIGHT REALTY and see if they can get the results for you. 1st place goes to Bob Grosso and Lonny Cornett with 29.34lbs. With ECO-PRO TUNGSTEN WEIGHTS and DOBYNS RODS rigged with VICIOUS line casting to reeds, buggy whips, and open water with LIVE TARGET RATTLEBAITS, they culled all day. 2nd place went to Jeff Crandon and Dan Richardson with a sqeeeeeeky 27.02 lbs. which was .02 oz. away from 3rd place. These guys did what they do this time of year and casted to grasslines and brushpiles with 10” CULPRIT WORMS with ECO-PRO TUNGSTEN weights. 3rd place went to Casey Gonzalez and Gene Terkoski with 27.00 lbs. Did we cull the right fish that would have made the difference? Hmmmmmmmm. We used GAMBLER FAT ACES in reeds and buggy whips. 4th place goes to the ever so consistent, top 5 most times, Rick and Cody Helmuth. With a close 26.08 lbs. it only gets them 4th. Not a lot of clubs can you go to to get 26.08 and get 4th. Ugh….. It just shows the fisheries are good and the fishermen in this club are all good. Most fish came on a blk/blue jig and some came on some STINKY FINGERS JUNEBUG STICKBAITS w/ a 3/4oz. weight. 5th place went to Chuck Pons and Mark Rees with 18.45lbs. THE BASS BOAT SAVER king of our club, they used top water frogs, swim baits by KEITECH, GAMBLER Y-KNOTS and FAT ACES, and spinner baits. BIG BASS went to Bob Grosso with a 9 lber. Great job guys. Our next tournament is at Lake Tarpon on Saturday the 14th. Sponsored by FLORIDA LIFT SYSTEMS. Joe Craighead will tell y’all about it at the meeting. The picnic will be after the tourney for the fishermen and families. Tom will talk about the picnic and what we need to make it great by all. The weather should cooperate nicely with a 30% chance of rain in the afternoon. The Junior Bassmaster tourney will be at Lake Tarpon this weekend on Saturday before our tourney next week. This would be a great time to help a kid fish AND practice for our tourney next week. Check with JOE CRAIGHEAD if he needs more boaters. (I’m sure he does) Let’s help out the kids. The AOY leaders are JEFF and DAN with Chuck and Mark in 2nd. With 5 tourneys left, much can happen as we are ½ over with the year. Make sure to give Tom suggestions for the classic this year and suggestions for a lake for

mystery lake for the hat draw. It has to be a lake we have not fished this year. REMEMBER: We want to fish at a lake for our classic that wants us there also. If we can get a discounted price on hotel fees, it goes back to the classic fund. That would be more money for us in the end. (Just a thought) Are we still having our club fundraising tourney at Rodman? Tom will update us on that. Remember to sign up for TROPHY CATCH in case you get an 8 lber or bigger at the tourney, and you get a nice looking BASS KING T-SHIRT. Remember to patronize our sponsors as they help us out.

It’s Classic Decision Time It is time to vote on classic destination. We have been to the South and of for five or six years. I checked with Roland Martin's Marina and they do have rooms available for our classic weekend. We have also checked on the north and the Flamingo Hotel has rooms available. I am currently waiting on information from the Château Élon at Sebring and haven't heard word back from them yet. Palatka is available. We have the opportunity to go where ever we would like so let's put it to a vote. number one; Okeechobee\South end number two; Okeechobee\North end number three; number four; St. John's River at Palatka

Let's think about it, talk about it, and schedule it. Remember each angler represents one vote so if you want your vote count you Need to be there Tuesday night.

It's Picnic Time

Lake Tarpon will be the location of our yearly picnic on Saturday. Joe Craighead and his team will be cooking us up a feast. Florida Lift Systems will be supplying the grills, ice, and the funds to put this cookout together. Remember to invite your family and friends to this event. We have pavilion number one reserved and Joe has decided not to fish in order to put a first-class meal on the table for all of us. His wife, Donita, and the rest of his crew deserve special thanks for all the work they do to make this picnic cuisine taste so good.

June’s meeting will be Tuesday, the 14th at R J Wings N Things in Temple Terrace, located at 51st and Fowler at 7:00pm.
