Project Description/Justification: In February 2011, the Arctic Winter Games International Committee awarded the Fairbanks community the honor of hosting the 2014 Arctic Winter Games.

This funding will be used for the Arctic Winter Games Host Society start up and preparation for the 2014 games. An infusion of state funds are needed to be able to meet the requirements of hosting the Arctic Winter Games in Alaska and operate the prestigious international event.

The funds will be used to get the Host Society up and running in preparation for the 2014 games including covering personal, technology, collateral development, facility upgrades and equipment purchases.
