Subject : TOR for expansion of capacity for Common Hazardous Waste Treatment Storage Disposat Facility operated by Saurashtra Enviro Projects Private [imited at District: Kutch, State: Gujarat : F. No. 10-45l2ilO7-aA.lll dated 15th September 2015

With reference to the above referred letter, our case was put up in the L4gth Expert Appraisal Committee Meeting held on 24 - 25th June 2Ot5 for grant of TOR and the same was approved and conveyed to us vide letter no. F. No. IO-45/2007-lA.lll dated L5th September 2OI5 for total expansion of additional 5 MMT.

Sir, we have submitted our rqquest to waive the Public Hearing as our proposed expansion was on the same survey numbers where Public Hearing was done on 04.01.2008 and L4.11.2008 for a total area of 190 acres. For this, the committee was of the opinion that if our expansion was limited upto 1.2 MMT which was equivalent to the previous consent they had agreed to waive the PH. But as our proposal was for additional 5 MMT, Public Hearing waiver request was not considered.

Sir, in the meanwhile there are another three more sites which are proposed in Gujarat coming up soon and we will now be focused only on waste from Saurashtra and Kutch region. Hence we have decided to have expansion of another 1.1 MMT only which is less than our existing granted EC.

ln the view of these facts we are submitting revised form 1 and Prefeasibility report for granting us TOR Jor expansion of additional capacity of 1.1 MMT with request to waive Public hearing.
