The goal of our curriculum is to help students to improve their design skills and to help our students complete a high-quality design portfolio for successful application to Master of Architecture programs. The program focuses on the following three courses:

William M. Taylor, FAIA Carl Smith, AIA Design Studio and Founding Director Design Studio and Co-Director

William receive his M-Arch degree from Carl Smith received his bachelor’s degree in Cranbrook Academy of Art where he studied Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona in 1997. with Daniel Libeskind for 3 years. Before Carl was a founding member of Telemachus founding LAIAD in 2001, William has Studio in 1995. William has persistently explored the relationship between form and idea and his work at LAIAD is an outgrowth of a 30-year effort, in both teaching and practice, to develop and promote a design methodology based on idea and order rather than visual composition. In recognition of his work at LAIAD, Sean Finn, Architect William was recognized with the AIA Los Design Faculty Angeles Educator of the Year award in 2005.
