Quayle (ms) recorded the name ROKIKOKIKO from local people which described the reed-warblers as rare), Maturei-vavao, Morane, Nukutepipi (vagrants recorded in 1983, 1988 but not later; Salvat et al. 1993), Reiao, Tekokota, Tenararo, Tenarunga, Vanhanga. (6) Islands never visited by ornithologists and for which no information on reed-warblers is available: Ravahere, Marokau, Hikueru, Marutea (north), Tauere, Rekareka, Amanu, Vahitahi.
