Lector Greg Landry One of the Top 5 Detroit Lion quarterbacks of all time, Greg Landry was the rst QB selected in the 1968 NFL draft following a stellar career at the University of Massachusetts. Greg played for the Lions from 1968 to 1978, leading the team to three straight winning seasons. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 1971 and in 1976 was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year. Following the Lions, Greg went on to play for the Baltimore Colts, Chicago Blitz and Arizona Wranglers of the USFL, and the Chicago Bears. After his playing career, he went on to coach with the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, Illinois Fighting Illinois, and . In 2012, Greg was inducted into the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame. He and his wife Jeannine live in Troy after raising ve children, all college graduates. Lector Rich Strenger An All Big Ten and Honorable Mention All American offensive tackle, Rich Strenger was an intimidating presence on the offensive line from 1980-1982. He was also selected to the East squad, East-West Shrine Game in 1982. Following his Michigan career, he was the Detroit Lions second round draft pick in the 1983 NFL draft and played for them from ’83 to 1987. Strenger was a leader on the Lions’ offensive line, opening holes for and James Jones. Following a season ending injury in 1984, Strenger was named the Lions Comeback Player of the Year in 1985.
