WELCOME MESSAGE: PRESIDENT OF THE 20TH WCNDT

Dear Distinguished Guests, Colleagues and Friends in NDT and Related Fields,

It’s already been almost 3 yrs. since we gathered in the 19th WCNDT, Munich Germany and the 20th WCNDT in Seoul is just around the corner, only a year ahead! On behalf of ICNDT and KSNT, the hosting society, I’d like to welcome all of you to one of the world largest academic and technical conferences with such a highly renowned tradi- tion and history over 60 years.

KSNT feels so proud and lucky for being the hosting society on behalf of ICNDT because the event can show its maturity of the 40th anniversary and capability with rich experi- ence and technical depth to the world NDT community.

In the sense, KSNT is now vigorously gearing up to welcome all of you to the 20th WCNDT in commemoration to its 40th anniversary celebration under the catch phrase, “NDT for Peace and Prosperity” to reflect its many years’ hard working efforts to reach the goals in the Korean Peninsula, which one time in the past, has been a symbolic icon of “Conflict and Poverty”. South Korea is one of few unique models to accomplish leading edge tech- nology based industrialization as well as advanced democracy.

KSNT was born in 1980, with the advent of the industrial boost of South Korea and has grown up being a backbone for its economic prosperity. The law for NDT promotion approved by its central government and parliament, which is the first benchmarking case in the world NDT community, simply shows how much concerns and efforts are being made nationwide.

KSNT sometimes identifies the term, NDT as “Never Dying Technology” or “Newly Devel- oping Technology” to enlighten people about its significance. Why don’t you come and be a part of this fabulous academic and technical event in the land of the “Morning Calm” KSNT and the organizing committee of the 20th WCNDT are now waiting to welcome all of you in Seoul, Korea June 2020!

See you all in Seoul. Thank you!
