NOTICE UNDER SECTION 104 OF THE COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2015
Proposed sale of 1,257.5 square metres or thereby at Port Glasgow Road/Bogston Lane, Greenock
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 104 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 that The Inverclyde Council, constituted under the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 and having its main office at Municipal Buildings, Clyde Square, Greenock (“the Council”), intends to dispose of property forming part of the common good, being 1,257.5 square metres or thereby at Port Glasgow Road/Bogston Lane, Greenock and being the property more fully described below.
1. Details of the Property
The Property formerly known as Bogston Petrol Filling Station, extending to 1,257.5 square metres or thereby at Port Glasgow Road/Bogston Lane, Greenock, and shown outlined in red on the attached plan.
2. Details of the Proposal
The Council intends to sell the Property for market value and on normal commercial terms to Christopher Canata. The Council understands that the prospective purchaser intends to erect seven small, industrial start-up units with a yard area and 16 parking spaces on the Property. The proposed sale is dependent on the grant of planning permission and other statutory consents which have not yet been sought. The sale will be completed as soon as reasonably practicable after the prospective purchaser is satisfied on a number of matters, including these statutory consents.
