The social hour will begin at 6:00pm with Ernie Sandquist entertaining with his accordion. Dinner will be served at 7:00pm. Following dinner, Santa and his helpers will present gifts to the children and there will be dancing to the music of the DeKalb Footstompers. Other entertainment is planned as well. The Chicagoland Finnladies will present their Christmas in Finland program at the Museum of Science and Industry at 11:00am on December 18th. He went on to say: “Malkki is another of the extraordinary crop of gifted conductors to emerge from Finland in recent decades.” He described her as a dynamic leader and perceptive musician.
