BUCKEYE ELEMENTARY Meet Buckeye Hero ... LukeLuke PetersonPeterson Luke is a 5th grader at Buckeye Elementary who saved a classmate who was choking on a sandwich during lunch. Luke took action right away and performed the Heimlich maneuver and dislodged the food. Luke was recognized at the Painesville Township Trustees Meeting in April and presented with a Resolution of Heroism by the Trustees. He was also featured on several local news channels. We are grateful for Luke’s quick thinking and Painesville Township Fiscal Officer Michael Patriarca along with Trustees Chuck Hillier, Gabe Cicconetti and Josh Pennock present a heroic actions!
