Handbook 2018-2019 CONSTITUTION, DIRECTORY, BYLAWS, REGULATIONS, AWARDS AND HISTORY As amended to June 9, 2018 BC Hockey Handbook 2018-2019 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD As we continue the 100th year anniversary celebration of BC Hockey, I would first like to acknowledge the homelands and territories we share with Indigenous peoples across BC and the Yukon. It is also important that we remind ourselves of the incredible contributions of the tireless volunteers and dedicated staff whose efforts make this great game possible. The past 100 years of hockey in BC and the Yukon have left an indelible mark on the lives of all participants. Our past experiences and commitment in keeping hockey the greatest sport in Canada will continue to guide us in the future. Chair of the Board Bill Greene We will celebrate this memorable occasion with many activities planned throughout British Columbia and the Yukon. The 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship being held in Victoria and Vancouver in December 2018 and January 2019 will bring together excited participants, volunteers and hockey fans, and ‘Celly’, our recently unveiled mascot will be on the guest list as an added bonus to many scheduled events. In addition to the Road to World Junior Championship School Tour that kicks off this October and visits many communities across BC. Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish. Our goal will be to continue to implement decisions that ensure our programming is based on current data with a direct connection to the national Long Term Player Development Model. This will improve the athletic skills of our players and provide clear direction for our coaches, bench staff and officials.

Handbook 2017-2018 CONSTITUTION, DIRECTORY, BYLAWS, REGULATIONS, AWARDS AND HISTORY As amended to June 10, 2017 BC Hockey Handbook 2017-2018 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD We should once again be very proud of the programs offered throughout the branch. Our moral compass in dedicating ourselves to providing age- appropriate programming to our youth, males and females, is well directed. We also strive to have national-leading programs at junior, senior and recreational hockey levels. I have every confidence in our quality of purpose and desire to grow the game. Chair of the Board Randy Henderson None of the fine programming in the branch could be accomplished without our volunteers who are proven world class quality. My sincere thanks for all your hard work and commitment to helping our players enjoy the game, particularly with our youngest participants. The quality of our volunteers is reflected in BC hosting the 2017 World Under-17 Challenge in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John again this fall and the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship in Vancouver and Victoria next year. The efforts of our volunteers to uphold and respect the rules of the game have built a proud heritage as we approach our 100th Anniversary. I know our joint actions support a sport culture of fun in a safe environment. We all support our vision to lead, develop and promote lifelong hockey experiences. i 2017-2018 BC Hockey Handbook It has been an incredible honour and humbling opportunity to Chair the Board on your behalf. Being surrounded by quality board members, a reliable branch staff, enthusiastic game partners and the best volunteers in the country has made the job incredibly rewarding.

Handbook 2020-2021 CONSTITUTION, DIRECTORY, BYLAWS, REGULATIONS, AWARDS AND HISTORY As amended to September 19, 2020 BC Hockey Handbook 2020-2021 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD I want to acknowledge we are on the unceded and traditional territories of many Indigenous people throughout BC and Yukon. BC Hockey honours the traditional lands and homelands of all Indigenous peoples and communities across Canada, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis I’d also like to recognize all BC Hockey’s life members and thank them for their tireless dedication to all who play our great game. In the Spring of 2020, we were forced to pause hockey because of the COVID-19 Chair of the Board pandemic. At the same time the BC Bill Greene Hockey Board of Directors recognized there was a need for a significant reset and change in the operation of BC Hockey moving into the future.
