The name of the road suggests in itself that it should be part of Tattenhams. The shops at Tattenham Corner are the most convenient for the residents of Tattenham Way. If we move into the Nork area, hopefully our postcode will change too, to bring us in line with the surrounding roads. • JONATHAN WHITE the Local Candidate for Meadvale & St John's
Reigate and Banstead Borough Council elections Thursday 6th May 2021 A strong voice for the community at the heart of the council JONATHAN WHITE The local candidate for Meadvale & St John's Promoted by Tim Hall, on behalf of Jonathan White, both of 25 Clarendon Road, REDHILL, Surrey, RH1 1Q. Printed by Paragon CC, Park House, Lower Ground Floor, 16-18 Finsbury Circus, London, EC2M 7EB. Contact Meadvale & St John's Conservatives 25 Clarendon Road, REDHILL, Surrey, RH1 1QZ [email protected] 01737 452897 Dear Residents I am keen to be re-elected to carry on the work I started whilst serving on the 2018/19 council. During that time, working with other local Conservatives, funding was secured for the earth embankments on Swing Common, Meadvale which, to date, have deterred the Traveller encampments that have plagued the area for years. I was also able to work with our county councillors on the various traffic issues that our area suffers from. At the council, I sat on the independent Overview & Scrutiny Committee and contributed towards holding the council to account for its operations and finances. I supported the regeneration of Redhill town centre whilst contributing towards the conservation of our historic buildings. I was able to support two great local organisations with grants: Renewed Hope Trust (homelessness) and Redhill Sea Cadets. I've always spoken against raising council tax, and believe that we should always be looking for value for money. For 2021/22 Surrey County Council won’t be increasing their charge by the maximum allowed for the first time in many years, but more work is needed to find cost savings at the borough council without affecting core services.
