Parish Family Picnic: TODAY we will have our Annual Parish Family Picnic on our church grounds. Fare is $6 for adults, all church school children are FREE. Come enjoy this time with your parish family !

PanOrthodox Picnic : will be held on Sunday Sept 16 th from 126pm at Serb Park (Eisenhower Blvd).Come and enjoy food, fellowship, live music and dancing with our extended Orthodox Community.

Slavic Food Fest BAKE SALE: Baked goods are needed for the Annual Slavic Food Fest on Oct 6 th & 7th ; the needed baked goods are: Ethnic or regular cookies, Ethnic bread and Pies. Please no cake. It is requested that the items are brought in on or before October 6 th .

Pirogi Making for Slavic Food Fest : The final pirogi making date for the Slavic Food Festival is Saturday, Sept. 22 at 8:30 am . Help is especially needed, as a number of our regular helpers are not available that day. Please let Mike Zuro or Jean Dotsey know if you can come & help.

SAVE THE DATE: Our parishes 50th Anniversary Celebration is Saturday, May 18 2013 We are now less than a year away! We are soliciting the help of our entire parish family if you would like to help, please see David Martin , chairman.

50 th Anniversary Alaskan Pilgrimage (August 2013): The trip will include a three day pilgrimage to Kodiak Island and Spruce Island where St. Herman lived, plus sightseeing in Anchorage. The proposed dates are Sunday, Aug 4 th Sunday, Aug 11 th . If you are interested, and would like to know more, please see Alice Mallick.

Prosphora Baking Ministry : The baking of holy bread (“prosphora” – translated “offering”) is traditionally a ministry of the laity of the local parish. You are invited to become a part of our prosphora baking team – to find out more see Nora Lubecki or Fr. Stephen .

Fellowship Hour Schedule: Parishioners are asked to help by bringing at least 48 servings of baked goods and to serve them during their assigned fellowship hour. Please check the dates below and mark your calendar accordingly. The complete list through next May 2012 is available at the parish hall. Harvest Dance: St. Michael Orthodox Church in St. Clair, PA will host a Harvest Dance on Sunday, Sept 23 rd from 2 to 6pm . The dance will feature Joe Stanky & The Cadets. Marriage & Family Life Seminar: Will be held at Agia Sofia Coffee House on Friday, Sept 28 th from 7pm to 8:30pm. Fr. Kosta Petrogeorge Dean of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral will be presenting the seminar. RSVP must be in to Fr. Kosta by Sept 25 th by calling 7179190840.

Agia Sophia Coffee Shop and Bookstore : is looking for dedicated volunteers to fill customer service positions. The positions involve running the cash register, pouring drip coffee and keeping the facility clean. In house training will be provided.
