RECEPTION Denise Ilitch has been an integral part of Detroit’s business and philanthropic communities for 30 years as a dedicated business leader, a devoted community servant, a supporter of many charitable causes, and a tireless advocate for women and children. 6:45 Ilitch is president of Ilitch Enterprises, LLC and co‐owner of 220 Denise Ilitch PROGRAM BEGINS Restaurant Hospitality. She previously served as president of Ilitch Ilitch Enterprises, LLC Holdings, Inc., which manages such entities as Little Caesar Enterprises, the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Tigers and Olympia Entertainment. Ilitch was instrumental in the creation of the $600 million side‐by‐side stadium project, Comerica 7:00 P.M. Park and Ford Field, and served as co‐chair for the 2009 Detroit crisis turnaround team. DINNER IS SERVED For the past seven years Ms. Ilitch has been a regular panelist on “Michigan Matters,” a CBS television program focused on relevant issues concerning the metro Detroit area. Ilitch earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her Law Degree from the University of Detroit School of Law. A strong supporter of continuing 7:30 P.M. education, Ilitch established the Denise Ilitch Scholarship at Walsh College to help young PROGRAM RESUMES women earn their advanced degrees. She currently serves as Regent on the University of Michigan Board of Regents. She also serves as trustee for the Skillman Foundation and on the Board for Horizon Global and the Harvard Kennedy School Women’s Leadership Board. The University of Detroit Mercy Law School named her 2007 Alumnus of the Year. She is an ACLU advisory committee member, and a past member of the Board of President and CEO, Directors of the Detroit Branch NAACP. Ilitch has two children, Brooke and Sam Lites. Debbie Dingell, U.S. House of Representatives Community Fund Congresswoman Debbie Dingell from Michigan’s 12th District is a AWARD PRESENTATION recognized national advocate for women and children and community and civic leader. Dingell chaired the Michigan Infant Mortality Task Force, the Baby Your Baby public education campaign that reduced infant mortality rates in Michigan, and has served on the board of Michigan’s HONORED HERO Children. Dingell was elected to Congress in 2014 after a 30-year career at the General Motors Corporation, where she was president of the GM Foundation and a senior Denise Ilitch, executive responsible for public affairs.
