SUMMARY

Issued on 17 May 2021 at 4 PM, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) was affecting Mindanao. Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, and possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms might experienced over Regions IX and XII. Source: DOST-PAGASA

I. Status of Affected Families / Persons A total of 4,023 families or 20,115 persons were affected in 32 barangays in Regions IX and XII (see Table 1).

II. Status of Displaced Families / Individuals a. Inside Evacuation Center There were 232 families or 1,160 persons took temporary shelter in seven (7) evacuation centers in Region XII (see Table 2).

b. Outside Evacuation Center There were 183 families or 915 persons took temporary shelter with their relatives and/or friends in Region XII (see Table 3).

IV. Assistance Provided A total of ₱1,788,564.00 worth of assistance was provided to the affected families; of which, ₱1,718,984.00 from DSWD and ₱69,580.00 from LGUs (see Table 4).

SITUATIONAL REPORT

DSWD-DRMB DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN • The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) 21 June 2021 of the DSWD-DRMB is closely coordinating with DSWD Field Offices for significant reports on the status of affected families, assistance, and relief efforts.

DSWD-FO IX DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN • DSWD-FO IX through its Disaster Response Information and Management Section (DRIMS) is closely coordinating with the CSWDO of Zamboanga for relevant 20 May 2021 updates on the actual number of affected families and for any request of relief assistance from the affected barangays.

DSWD-FO XII DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN • DSWD-FO XII submitted their terminal report. • DSWD-FO XII released 805 family food packs, 396 hygiene kits, and 50 pieces of 15 June 2021 laminated sacks to LGU of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat. • DSWD-FO XII released 496 family food packs, 248 hygiene kits and 50 pieces of laminated sacks to LGU of Alamada, North Cotabato.
