Born Nationally renowned and recognized for his coaching success, Larry Dec. 1, 1955 (Alameda, Calif.) Eustachy took the reins of a struggling basketball program at Southern Miss High School and gave hope to a contingency of Golden Eagle faithful of returning the Arcadia High School -- Arcadia, Calif. Through Edwards’ direction, Eustachy then landed 2000 AP National Coach of the Year his first NCAA coaching position on Bob Boyd’s Mississippi State squad, USBWA National Coach of the Year Big 12 Coach of the Year staying there from 1981-86. From there, Eustachy joined Tim Floyd’s staff at District Coach of the Year Idaho from 1986-87, before moving on to assistant coaching stints at Utah 1998 Big West Coach of the Year (1987-89) and Ball State (1989-90).
