Our flagship gala Bloor Street Entertains – co-chaired by Scotiabank’s Brian and Megan Porter – realised its best year in 18 with revenue just shy of $1 million. We also broke a record by reaching more than 2.5 million Canadian high school students through Over the past year, CANFAR has experienced a renewed sense of a call to our youth awareness program, Kisses 4 CANFAR. We engaged in more research action - young people are taking up this cause, and I am delighted. As a partnerships than ever before – from the St. Paul’s Hospital/CANFAR Chair in concerned parent, the need for us to focus our efforts on ridding the planet HIV/AIDS Research in Vancouver, to co-funding Montreal-based cure research of HIV and AIDS is more compelling than ever; so is the need to reach young with the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), and HIV prevention with our message. Over the past year, our high school awareness research with CIHR’s Institute for Gender and Health. We were pleased to program, Kisses 4 CANFAR, reached more than 2.5 million young Canadians Christopher continue our partnerships with the Canadian HIV Treatment Network by funding in every province and territory in the land. Our Campus Clubs are on more Bunting a Post-Doctoral Fellowship, and with the Canadian Association for HIV Research campuses than ever before and CANFAR’s Young Professional Council is CANFAR by contributing to education and training programs.
