Starting at primary school is one of the most important steps in a child’s life. This guide has been produced to provide you with the information to make that decision and sets out the steps necessary to make your application.

These are exciting times for our primary schools. All schools are working together to improve standards and to provide the best opportunities for children starting their education in Stoke-on-Trent. Most parents prefer their children to attend a local school and it is usually the case that such a place can be found for them. Where other school places are preferred, we will do our best to assist in the process of trying to meet their preference.

11 Nursery and primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to receive 15 hours early education for 38 weeks each year (term time). All schools are day schools for both boys and girls.
