The analysis therefore does not address the shocks experienced by Nepal’s economy and its people beginning in March 2020. Not only is the Covid‑19 pandemic having dire effects on the health of populations worldwide, it has severely disrupted day‑to‑day economic activity in all corners of the world. The global nature of the crisis and the imposition of mobility restrictions to limit contagion has in most economies resulted in work stoppages, self‑quarantining at home, and return migration. This impact is not only wide—most countries, most sectors, most households—but also very deep. A large share of workers have experienced income loss and temporary or permanent job separation. As workers are laid‑off, many migrants must make their way back home, whether internally (from cities back to rural villages) or from destinations abroad. What began as a severe supply‑side shock for labor markets has become a joint supply and demand crisis, and this interaction risks deepening the crisis and significantly delaying recovery. Global and local supply chains have broken down, even in industries where demand remains strong. For firms that have managed to continue operations, many have scaled

(Lamiaceae) Growing in Mount Ida- Turkey Züleyha Özer1* 1 University of Balıkesir, Altınoluk Vocational School, Programme of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, 10870 Balıkesir, TURKEY Abstract: The chemical composition of leaf and flower essential oils of Origanum onites L. were analyzed using Thermo Scientific TSQ GC-MS/MS. Also, antioxidant activities of the leaf and flower essential oils were investigated by using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) free radical scavenging activity and β- carotene linoleic acid assays. BHA (Butylated hydroxyanisole) and BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene) were used as standards. The essential oil yields of O. onites were 1.75% for leaves and 4.25% for flowers. A total of twenty-three compounds representing 99.9% of leaf oil and twenty-four compounds constituted 99.6% of the flower oil were determined. Oxygenated monoterpenes were detected at a high percentage (69.2%) in leaf essential oil, and carvacrol (64.9%) was determined as the main compound. Also, flower essential oil was dominated by sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (73.5%), and α-cubebene (36.4%) was determined as a primary compound. For leaf oil, a high antioxidant capacity was determined, primarily due to carvacrol and p-cymene. Keywords: Origanum onites, essential oil, carvacrol, α-cubebene, antioxidant activity. The genus Ruta is rich in essential oils, which predominantly contain aliphatic ketones, e.g., 2-undecanone and 2-nonanone, but lack any significant amounts of terpenes. Three Ruta species, Ruta chalepensis L., Ruta graveolens L., and Ruta montana L., have been extensively studied for the composition of their essential oils and several bioactivities, revealing their potential medicinal and agrochemical applications.

Since the Province is rich in water resources, analysis of watersheds needs to be done for management, planning and identification of water as well as natural resources. GIS offers integration of spatial and no spatial data to understand and analyze the watershed processes and helps in drawing a plan for integrated watershed development and management. The Digital Elevation Model (DEM) available on the NASA-Earth data has been taken as a primary data for morphometric analysis of watershed in Gandaki Province using QGIS. Delineation of watershed was conducted from a DEM by computing the flow direction and using it in the Watershed tool. Necessary fill sink correction was made before proceeding to delineation. A raster representing the direction of flow was created using Flow Direction tool to determine contributing area. Flow accumulation raster was created from flow direction raster using Flow Accumulation Tool. A point- based method has been used to delineate watershed for each selected point. The selected point may be an outlet, a gauge station or a dam. The annual rainfall data from ground meteorological stations has been used in QGIS to generate rainfall map for the study of rainfall pattern in the province and watersheds using IDW Interpolation method.

It is highly dependent on the catchment area, topography, slope of the catchment terrain, rainfall, temperature, and soil characteristics. This study was designed to evaluate the key hydraulic parameters of sediment transport for Kali Gandaki River at Setibeni, Syangja, located about 5 km upstream from a hydropower dam. Key parameters, including the bed shear stress (τb), specific stream power (!), and flow velocity (v) associated with the maximum boulder size transport, were determined throughout the years, 2003 to 2011, by using a derived lower boundary equation. Clockwise hysteresis loops of the average hysteresis index of +1.59 were developed and an average of 40.904 12.453 Megatons (Mt) suspended sediment have been transported annually from the higher ± Himalayas to the hydropower reservoir.

Background Ghiring rural municipality in Tanahun district, Gandaki Province, is created by combining previous 5 VDCs namely Gajarkot, Sabhung Bhagawotipur, Ghiring Sundhara, Ramjakot and Majhkot. The rural municipality, with an area of 126 sq.km. and population of 19,318 (census 2011), is located at an altitudinal extent between 300m to 1000m. The rural municipality aspires to promote tourism by constructing an artificial lake (Ghumaune Tal) that could help bring together the development opportunities of the entire rural municipality. The Ghumaune Tal is presumed to be a new and novel tourism product for the Ghiring rural municipality and a source of unique attraction for tourists, both domestic and foreign. The idea is to create a lake by impounding the waters of the through the construction of a dam that would also use for irrigation purposes. The rural municipality therefore seeks a team of consultants to prepare the DPR of the proposed lake (Ghumaune Tal) with geotechnical and initial environmental examination. The DPR will be augmented with a comprehensive tourism development and management plan. The consultants will also provide inputs for the spatial planning of the valley from the perspective of the resident population as well as the tourists. 2. Objectives
