Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Minnesota: Section 1. Finding. By reason of flood control work upon the Red River of the north an avulsion has occurred leaving two parcels of land described as: (1) That portion of Government Lot 2 in the north- east quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 29, Township 140 North, Range 48 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Clay County, Minnesota, bounded by the thread of the Red River of the North as it existed prior to January 1, 1959, and the new thread of the Red River of the North as established by the United States Army Corps of En- gineers under Project CIVENG-21-018-59-22, containing 9.78 acres more or less; and (2) That portion of Government Lot 2 in the north- east quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 7, Township 139.North, Range 48 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Clay County, Minnesota, bounded by the thread of the Red River of the North as it existed prior to January 1, 1959, and the new thread of the Red River of the North as established by the United States Army Corps of En- gineers under Project CIVENG-21-018-59-22, containing 12.76 acres more or less, physically detached from the state of Minnesota and at- tached to the state of North Dakota. -

Betty Azar, Defendant and Appellant. Case No. 8257 [146 N.W.2d 149] Syllabus of the Court 1. Extreme cruelty as a ground for divorce is an infliction of grievous bodily injury or grievous mental suffering. Section 14-05-05, N.D.C.C. 2. Whether one party to a divorce action has inflicted grievous mental suffering upon the other is a question of fact to be determined from all the circumstances in the case. 3. Upon a trial de novo on appeal, the findings of fact of the trial judge are entitled to appreciable weight. 4. When a divorce is granted, the trial court has continuing jurisdiction with regard to the custody, care, education, and welfare of the minor children of the marriage. Section 14-05-22, N.D.C.C. 5. In the matter of awarding custody of the children of the parties to an action for divorce, the trial court is vested with a large discretion, and its discretion will ordinarily not be interfered with except for an abuse thereof. 6. In a divorce proceeding the court shall make such equitable distribution of the real and personal property of the parties as may seem just and proper. Section 14-05-24, N.D.C.C. The strongest laws impose criminal liability when a minor gains access to a negligently stored firearm. The weakest prohibit persons from directly providing a firearm to a minor. There is a wide range of laws that fall somewhere between these extremes, including laws that impose criminal liability for negligently stored firearms, but only where the child uses the firearm and causes death or serious injury. Weaker laws impose liability only in the event of reckless, knowing or intentional conduct by the adult. -

Mail the completed application DIRECTLY to the higher education agency located in the state of your residence. Reciprocity recipients who earned credits during the 2019-2020 academic year will automatically have benefits renewed for 2020-2021 at the institution reporting credits for the student during the 2019-2020 academic year. Therefore, these students do NOT need to complete a reciprocity application for the 2020-2021 academic year. Oil Revenue to Local Governments Introduction North Dakota Summary
How North Dakota Returns “Unconventional” Oil Revenue to Local Governments Headwaters Economics | Updated January 2014 Introduction This brief shows how North Dakota’s local governments receive production tax revenue from unconventional oil extraction. Fiscal policy is important for local communities for several reasons. Mitigating the acute impacts associated with drilling activity and related population growth requires that revenue is available in the amount, time, and location necessary to build and maintain infrastructure and to provide services. In addition, managing volatility over time requires different fiscal strategies, including setting aside a portion of oil revenue in permanent funds.1 The focus on unconventional oil is important as horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technologies have led a resurgence in oil production in the U.S. Unconventional oil plays require more wells to be drilled on a continuous basis to maintain production than comparable conventional oil fields. This expands potential employment, income, and tax benefits, but also heightens and extends public costs. This brief is part of a larger project by Headwaters Economics that includes detailed fiscal profiles of major oil-producing states—Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming—along with a summary report describing the key fiscal differences between these states. These profiles will be updated regularly. The various approaches to taxing oil make comparisons between states difficult, although not impossible. We apply each state’s fiscal policy, including production taxes and revenue distributions, to a typical unconventional oil well. This allows for a comparison of how states tax oil extracted using unconventional technologies, and how this revenue is distributed to communities. -

Milkweeds of Nevada & Utah
MILKWEEDS OF NEVADA & UTAH Milkweeds (Asclepias spp.) are herbaceous perennial plants named for their milky sap. These plants occur in a wide range of habitats, including intact natural communities on roadsides and highly disturbed roadsides. As required host plants for monarch (Danaus plexippus) caterpillars, milkweeds play an KEY essential role in the butterfly’s life cycle (see reverse). Vegetation management that allows milkweeds to MAY BE MORE persist can support monarchs. This guide can help you recognize the most common native species found TOLERANT OF MOWING on roadsides in your region. The most common milkweeds in roadsides in Nevada & Utah (in alphabetical order): Spider milkweed (A. asperula ssp. asperula) Desert milkweed (A. erosa) PLANT: Upright, unbranched to branched stout stems; with fine hairs; PLANT: Multiple spreading stems, unbranched to few branches; usually grows in clumps. LEAVES: Opposite; oval- to lance-shaped; smooth to with smooth. LEAVES: Alternate; lance-shaped; usually folded lengthwise. fine hairs. HABITAT: Washes, gulches, canyons, disturbed areas in deserts, HABITAT: Grasslands, disturbed areas. SOILS: Clayey, gravelly, sandy, rocky creosote bush and sagebrush communities. SOILS: Sandy; dry.
