Why No Wonder Woman?
Why No Wonder Woman? A REPORT ON THE HISTORY OF WONDER WOMAN AND A CALL TO ACTION!! Created for Wonder Woman Fans Everywhere Introduction by Jacki Zehner with Report Written by Laura Moore April 15th, 2013 Wonder Woman - p. 2 April 15th, 2013 AN INTRODUCTION AND FRAMING “The destiny of the world is determined less by battles that are lost and won than by the stories it loves and believes in” – Harold Goddard. I believe in the story of Wonder Woman. I always have. Not the literal baby being made from clay story, but the metaphorical one. I believe in a story where a woman is the hero and not the victim. I believe in a story where a woman is strong and not weak. Where a woman can fall in love with a man, but she doesnʼt need a man. Where a woman can stand on her own two feet. And above all else, I believe in a story where a woman has superpowers that she uses to help others, and yes, I believe that a woman can help save the world. “Wonder Woman was created as a distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to ʻa world torn by the hatred of men.ʼ”1 While the story of Wonder Woman began back in 1941, I did not discover her until much later, and my introduction didnʼt come at the hands of comic books. Instead, when I was a little girl I used to watch the television show starring Lynda Carter, and the animated television series, Super Friends. -
Justice League Crisis on Two Earths Download Mp4 Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Blu-Ray Review
justice league crisis on two earths download mp4 Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Blu-ray Review. The Justice League meets their evil counterparts. You can guess what happens next. Those who want to see the seeds of that connection between Crisis and the television incarnations of the Justice League won't have to look very hard. The character designs are similar, and although the lineup of heroes is slightly different, it begins with a small, core team working on the satellite that will eventually become the base of operations for a larger cast of characters. The main cast includes Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern (Hal Jordon, not John Stewart, as in the TV series). There are also cameos galore, including some characters we already know and their evil alter egos from a parallel world (who are fun to figure out if you know anything about the DC Universe). To further distance this story from the others that have come before, there have been some voice cast changes as well. The new voices take some getting used to, and in some cases it's tough to get over the image that goes along with the voice. But once the well-animated action kicks in, you'll start to see Batman instead of William ("Billy") Baldwin, Superman instead of Mark Harmon and Lex Luthor instead of Chris Noth. Not to be outdone, the villains also have some marquee names to their credits, with none other than James Woods providing the subtly sinister voice of alt- universe Batman, known in his world as Owl Man, and Gina Torres sounding at once seductive and strong as Super Woman, an evil counterpart to Wonder Woman. -
Winter X Games 12
X GAMES AUSTIN 2016 TELEVISION TALENT BIOS Commentators/Analysts Brandon Graham Skateboard Play-by-Play Brandon Graham returns to the telecast team as play-by-play commentator for all skateboard events at X Games Austin 2016. The Bay Area native grew up skating and surfing without any idea that an actual career in this industry would be the result. That changed in 1999, when at 14 years old he witnessed his first X Games at Pier 32 in San Francisco. As a college intern at ESPN Radio, Graham was asked to cover the X Games in 2006 on behalf of the station. This content would eventually serve as the basis for Late Night Action, ESPN's first action sports radio show, hosted by Graham. Along the way, he became the host of X Games digital content, including Inside X and the Athlete Chat Series. Graham was then hand-picked by Rob Dyrdek to become the new play-by-play voice of Street League Skateboarding on ESPN2, before tackling the same duties for X Games in 2013, working alongside Tony Hawk calling Men’s and Women’s Skateboard Street. In 2014, Graham served as X Games co-host in Aspen and Austin, and remains a part of the telecast team for both events as well as the World of X Games series on ABC. Brandon received a degree in journalism from California Lutheran University in 2008. He resides in Austin with his wife, Nadia. Craig McMorris Skateboard Vert, Big Air and Skateboard/BMX Doubles Analyst Craig McMorris joined the X Games Aspen telecast team in 2015. -
