Tumbling Assessment

Beginner

The beginner class is an introduction to tumbling. Students are taught basic tumbling skills while they develop a strong foundation that can be taken with them to higher levels. This class helps build the student’s strength, flexibility, and body awareness, so they can progress safely and effectively. Intermediate:

The intermediate class allows students to take their foundation skills and apply them to more challenging tumbling techniques. This class will prepare students for harder tumbling techniques while continuing to strengthen and develop their existing skills. Students in the intermediate class should already have a cartwheel and a handstand.

Advanced

The advanced class is meant for students that have already excelled past the beginner level and want to learn harder skills. Students are taught progressions, drills, and techniques needed to perform the more advanced skills. This class will continue to build the student’s strength, flexibility, and body awareness in order to maintain consistency as they continue to advance. Student’s should already have a round-off and are working on, or already have a back- handspring.

Adult

The adult class is perfect for beginner and experienced tumblers. This class reviews different tumbling skills and techniques while also working on strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. Students will learn how to tumble as well as discover new and exciting ways to workout.

Note for Attire:

• Girls – Athletic attire: , gym , , T-, and . Secure hair with soft elastics or soft barrettes.

• Boys – Athletic attire: gym shorts, stretchy pants, T-shirt and sneakers.

For safety: NO , , , belts, jewelry, etc. Please make sure pants are not too long to avoid tripping.

OBSERVATIONS

Parents cannot sit and watch as it can be a distraction to the students.
