The humour does get a bit repetitive as Bob Servant takes the mickey out of spammers from different parts of the globe. This book had been floating around our house as an unwanted gift so I picked it up it without any high expectations. What worked for me: This book is about the various mails exchanged between spammers and Bob Servant, an eccentric old-man who has nothing better to do. What worked for me: The simplicity of the book and that it can be read out to a group of people to get laughs. What makes the book so funny is how Servant is able to turn the tables on the scam masters from Nigeria and elsewhere and rope them into a lengthy and fruitless email correspondence, while holding out the carrot of his actually going to the bank. It's amusing enough at first, in this case, but after a couple of exchanges I was skimming them all and shaking my head at the reductio ad absurdum of some of it.
