THE COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT OF VARIOUS ROADS, IN THE PARISHES OF KIRBY MUXLOE AND FOREST EAST SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SPEED TABLES AND CUSHIONS

The Leicestershire County Council has been commissioned by the developers of the New Lubbesthorpe housing development to consult on proposed traffic calming measures as a consequence of a planning obligation.

The proposals are as shown on the attached Drawing Numbers INFRADELIV- 007/Z2/1/1A and INFRADELIV-007/Z2/1//2 and include a series of speed tables and speed cushions. The proposed measures are aimed at helping to mitigate against the effects of any future increased traffic in these communities by reducing speeds and discouraging through traffic from using these roads to access other destinations.

Between 11 th –13 th April 2018 a public exhibition will take place at East Parish Hall where officers from Leicestershire County Council will be present on the 13 th April 2018 to answer any questions people may have on the proposals. Similarly, an exhibition will take place between 18th – 20 th April 2018 at Kirby Muxloe Parish Council Offices. Officers from Leicestershire County Council will be present on the 20 th April 2018 in this instance. The exhibition will be open between 2.30pm and 6.30pm where there will be comment forms available for people to express their views.

A public consultation period will commence prior to the exhibition running from 6 th April 2018 for a period of four weeks to the 4 th May 2018 where people will have a further opportunity to formally comment on the proposals. Cont……

Please find attached a copy of the Notice and plans relating to the above proposed traffic calming measures. The proposals will be advertised on Friday 6 th April 2018. The Notices will also be displayed on site for the duration of the consultation. This forms part of the statutory consultation for the speed cushions. If no reply is received within this period it will be assumed that you have no comments to make.
