System-wide review of police and first responder training and curriculum.

1. Police Chief and others participated in CCCCO webinars offered in partnership with the state Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) 2. Created a Campus Police Subcommittee on the President’s Advisory Committee on Race Equity – includes students, faculty, administrators and police personnel 3. Conducted a review of El Camino College Police Handbook 4. Creating a Campus Safety Partnership framework for effective campus/police relations 5. Examining disaggregated data relating to campus police 6. Campus Forum scheduled in March, 2021 California Community Colleges Call to Action

• Multiple forums on a variety of topics offered by SITE (Scholarly Inquiry for Teacher Excellence) which asks “How can El Camino College be an anti-racist institution?” • Fall and Spring Professional Development Day presentations/discussions including Dr. Daniel G. Solorzano’s presentation on Microaggression and Microaffirmation • ASO Town Hall on Race, Equity and Voting • National First Gen Week with Black First Generation Symposium, the Power of Black Vote, and Black First Gen Alumni Chat • “It Takes a Village” forum led by Counseling and Student Health Services • “How am I an Agent of Student Success?” 4th Annual Guided Pathways Winter Summit • “They Said What?!” Panel discussion moderated by Dr. Melissa Fujawara • National Assessment of Collegiate Campus Climates survey of El Camino College students in Fall 2020 • “Black and African American Heritage: A Visual Experience" at the Shauerman Library • “United for Student Success” Guided Pathways Forum focused on equity in Program Review California Community Colleges Call to Action
