WADE BACK ON A ROLL--Kansas City reliever Wade Davis is back on track after displaying a mere mortal side during the early portion of August when he was charged with four earned runs in 4.0 innings, raising his season ERA to 1.13...he has since appeared eight times allowing only three hits and fanning 12, while blanking the opposition and earning four saves in the process...he’s 7-1 with 13 rescues this year, subbing periodically for Greg Holland...dating back to September 4, 2013, when Wade made the full-time return to the bullpen, he has posted a Major League best 18-4 record among relievers and 0.98 ERA, allowing only 15 earned runs in 137.2 innings, while limiting opposing hitters to a .148 average and fanning 181 hitters for an 11.83 strikeouts per 9-inning ratio. KENDRYS CLOSING IN ON A C-NOTE--Kansas City designated hitter Kendrys Morales is now just one RBI shy of reaching the 100-RBI mark for second time in his career, first since 2009 with the Angels (108)...his 99 runs batted in are third in the American League, while 36 doubles rank fourth...his numbers as a designated hitter rank first in the league in doubles (34) and RBI (97), second in runs (60) and hits (134)...once he plates one more run, Morales will be the fifth Royal to knock home 100 in his first full season in Kansas City joining John Mayberry (100 in 1972), DannyTartabull (101 in 1987), Jeff King (112 in 1997) and Carlos Beltran (108 in 1999).
