Recruitment Initiatives Type of Recruitment Initiative Brief Description of Activity Our SEU offers internship opportunities to 1. Internship Program local college and high school students in its programming and promotions departments. The internships are typically scheduled on a semester basis. Our Marketing and Promotions Director coordinates our internship program and supervises the progress of the student interns. During this reporting period, eighteen (18) interns participated in this Program. These interns assist the Promotions and Programming Departments with a variety of tasks including public relations, non- traditional revenue events and on-site station broadcasts and database marketing. Colleges/High Schools attended by interns participating in the program: Spring 2014 Semester: 1 intern Ridgefield High School Summer 2014 Semester: 14 interns Western Connecticut State University UCONN CT School of Broadcasting Pace University Sienna College University of Boulder-Colorado Fall 2014 Semester: 3 Interns Western Connecticut State University Wilton High School ACTIVE/ 60639728.1 2. Scholarship Program During this reporting period, our SEU participated in the Connecticut Broadcasters Association Scholarship Program. All stations in the SEU broadcast announcements from March through May, 2013, soliciting scholarship applicants. Interested candidates could obtain scholarship applications from any of our SEU stations. Association dues paid by the SEU helped fund the scholarship program. 3. Host Job Fair In March of 2013, our SEU hosted a job fair at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, Connecticut. Our SEU solicited local employers to participate in this event and promoted the Fair on its Stations. The SEU also participated, providing attendees with information about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job opportunities within the SEU. SEU participants included the Market and Sales Managers. 4. Host Job Fair On May 19th, 2014, our SEU hosted a veteran’s job fair at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, Connecticut. Our SEU solicited local employers to participate in this event and promoted the Fair on its Stations. The SEU also participated, providing attendees with information about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job opportunities within the SEU. SEU participants included the Market and Sales Managers. 5. Host Job Fair On September 19th, 2014,, our SEU hosted a job fair at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, Connecticut. Our SEU solicited local employers to participate in this event and promoted the Fair on its Stations. The SEU also participated, providing attendees with information about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job opportunities within the SEU.
