24th World - Unit 70 (Avonation)

What does our badge stand for?

The 36 Young People, with some input from the 4 Leaders, of Unit 70, otherwise known as Avonation, have designed the badge shown below, which is now on offer for sale worldwide.

We have created this brief document, to detail the elements used in our badge, along with the significance they have, linking into the amazing adventure we are on.

Bunting with the flags of the host Tea Bear, which countries (USA, is the official UK Canada and Contingent logo Mexico) for the 2019

Shows we are Unit 70, from the United Kingdom and Blue ridge mountains, that our flag is which are in West Virginia, the the Union Jack location in which the Jamboree shall be held

We are attending the 24th World Scout Jamboree

Balloon basket hanging from Tea Bear, to link with the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, which is an annual event, known internationally The shape is based around the Interstate signs as seen The balloon is flying over the Blue ridge in the USA mountains

Badge dimensions are approx. 100x100mm, and is fully embroidered to capture as much detail as possible.

All funds raised from sales of the badge will contribute to the rough £150,000 cost involved, to help prepare, train, equip and transport the whole unit to the Jamboree in 2019.
