The third “main consideration", namely "community identity" seems to be completely ignored, yet it is the principal consideration that matters to the Adlington

Community. My wifes family have lived in Adlington for over 80 years and are appalled as we are at the lack of reverence to the community for the sake of politic ends.

From: Jack Sent: 11 February 2010 14:59 To: Reviews@ Subject: Electoral Review of Cheshire East Authority

Sirs

My name is Jack Warrington joint owner of 28 Legh Road Adlington, and I wish to register my opposition to the proposal to transfer Adlington to Poynton East Electoral ward.

Adlington is currently a part of the Prestbury and Tytherington ward and is essentially a rural area as opposed to the urban area of Poynton and I wish to retain this status.

I believe that the interests of the residents of Adlington are best served by the present administration and wish to retain our community identity

I am a resident in the Adlington area of Cheshire. Frank Wigglesworth

Cheshire East area Member of the Public I wish to register that as a resident of Adlington I want to remain part of the Prestbury Ward. It should not be transfered to Poynton merely for the administrative convenience of local government or to equalise the number of electors per Councillor. Our Community has remained since the Doomsday register as it is and change against the wishes of the people of this area for government convenience must be stopped. the People and Parish Council have opposed these changes please support us.

Mr & Mrs D J Worth,

11th February 2010.

Review Officer ( Cheshire East Review ), The Boundary Committee For England, Trevelyan, House, Great Peter Street, London, SW1P 2HW.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please Note,

As residents of Adlington we wish Adlington to remain part of Prestbury Ward. Why would the East Cheshire authority feel the need to change what has worked for many many years successfully as a close knit community, other than it suits local government to equalise the numbers of electors per councillor We should not be transferred to Poynton East or West, our community identity appears to be being ignored. If we wished to be part of Poynton we would have purchased a house in Poynton back in the 90's

WHY MEND WHAT ISN'T BROKEN

Yours faithfully,

Mr & Mrs D J Worth.

Dear Sirs

I oppose Adlington being warded with Poynton West or any part of Poynton. Adlington should be in the same ward as Prestbury, because thereis a direct rail link between the two villages. Both villages are rural in nature and practice and the hereditary owners of Adlington Hall are the Lay Rector of Prestbury Parish Church, which has been the case for centuries. In your literature you claim to keep communities intact and not to mix urban and rural communities, which you have ignored in this case. It is claimed government policy to protect rural communities and villages. Additionally the electors of Adlington have expressed their desire by a petition, which you already have, to be in the same ward as Prestbury. To ignore this will be a suppression of our democratic rights. I urge you to ward Adlington with Prestbury, and if numbers are so important, can be warded with East and Over Alderley with .

Yours faithfully

Alan Young
