Heritage at Risk teams are now in each of our nine local offices, delivering national expertise locally. The good news is that we are on target to save 25% (1,137) of the sites that were on the Register in 2010 by 2015. From Clifford’s Fort, North Tyneside to the Church of St Andrew, Haughton le Skerne, this success is down to good partnerships with owners, developers, the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), Natural England, councils and local groups. It will be increasingly important to build on these partnerships to achieve the overall aim of reducing the number of sites on the Register.

    Please find the following Coquetdale Community Message update covering from the 30th October to the 1st December 2014. Nine (9) crimes were reported over this period: Rothbury Burglary Other Than Dwelling (OTD) Occurred between 10/11/14 to the 29/11/14 in the Whitton area where a shed was entered and a generator stolen. The shed was next to a caravan, situated just off a remote country lane running from the Whitton area. This is an isolated incident. Officer in the Case (OIC) PC Rob Kilburn Thropton / Snitter Burglary Dwelling / Theft / Damage Occurred 0030 hrs 30/10/14 at an address in the Thropton area. A female attended the house, entered the address, assaulted a male (former partner), removed several jackets and damaged a car outside before leaving the area.
