Costs & Phasing Introduction Inniskeen Public Realm Spatial Plan has been prepared to inform the future development of public realm in and around Inniskeen for both locals and visitors alike. Spatial Plan Context Inniskeen is a small village located in Co.Monaghan, it is a historic settlement rich in archaeology, landscape features and architectural character, which inspired much of Patrick Kavanagh’s early work as a writer. There are two areas of commercial activity, at the road junction at McNello’s Pub which includes a public house, a petrol station, shop, and credit union. The second commercial centre is at the former railway station cluster including Magee’s public house and shop. Community uses dominate the centre of the village including the river walk, pitch and putt course, Community Centre, National School, Church of Ireland, Round Tower, Graveyard, and the Patrick Kavanagh Centre. Residential development occurs within the village centre to the north west and principally to the west of the village. Brief The Project Brief was to deliver a design which enhances the architectural quality of the sensitive streetscape, provides a high-quality concept and incorporates the following principles: • Reinvent the village as a place for people. • Development of pedestrian linkages between the Village, Kavanagh Centre and the Monaghan Way/ Railway Station. • Designation of key urban spaces for enhancement and speciﬁ c urban design proposals. • Realisation of the potential of heritage and cultural assets for both locals and visitors.

Municipal District of Monaghan Minutes of Meeting of Monaghan Municipal District held in the Boardroom, MTek1 on Monday, 14th December 2020 at 10.00am. Cathaoirleach, Cllr. Treanor presided. Present: Cllrs. Brian McKenna, Paudge Connolly, Cathy Bennett, David Maxwell and Sean Conlon In Attendance: John Murray, Director of Services, Donal McElwain, Municipal District Co-ordinator, Dermot Deeney, Executive Engineer, Bernie McElvaney, Senior Staff Officer, Siobhan Sherry, Monaghan Business Support Executive 1. Confirmation of minutes: On the proposal of Cllr. Connolly, seconded by Cllr. McKenna, it was agreed that the minutes of the Municipal District of Monaghan meeting held on 16th November 2020 be confirmed. On the proposal of Cllr Maxwell, seconded by Cllr Conlon, it was agreed that the minutes be amended to read as follows: Cllr Treanor proposed that a letter of solidarity be sent to Clones Ballybay MD in relation to the recent violence incident in the Diamond, Clones. All members condemned this attack and supported the proposal. Also, that Emyvale Cycling Club be amended to All Cycling Clubs. 2. Matters arising: Cllr McKenna asked for an update on Tullyherm Lane to which Mr McElwain responded that we had seeked information on, ownership and right of ways but this information was not available from the current owner’s solicitors. Cllr Maxwell asked that we write to the residents informing them of the current position in relation to taking in charge of the lane. 3. Town Team Report: Siobhan Sherry, Monaghan Business Support Executive outlined her Report which had been circulated to the members via Minute Pad. Cllr Connolly welcomed Ms Sherry and wished her the best of luck in her position.

Monaghan County Museum Handling Collection
Applying for Loans It is essential to make a booking for all loans from the Handling Collection. At least two to three days notice is required by the Education and Outreach Officer but you are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. To borrow material, a list of items required should be telephoned or preferably emailed to the Education and Outreach Officer stating the date you wish to collect loans and when they will be returned. Items can be borrowed as themed groups or as individual pieces. Duration of Loans Objects may be borrowed for a period of time up to a maximum of one month. This time may be reduced subject to demand and waiting lists. Collection & Return of Loans Booked loans can be collected from and returned to the Museum between 9.15am and 4.00pm from Monday to Friday or on Saturday by prior agreement. Loans must be returned no later than 4.30 on the last day of the agreed loan period and must be accepted by a member of staff. It is essential to return the items on or before the agreed date to facilitate other bookings. Any borrower who retains material beyond the loan period may not be eligible for future loans. Senior Football 'All-Star' Team
SENIOR FOOTBALL ‘ALL-STAR’ TEAM 1 Darren McDonnell (Clontibret) There were obviously a number of contenders for this position, but the Clontibret custodian got the nod as he did not conceded a single goal in this year’s senior football championship. He made his championship debut in 2013 and picked up his first senior championship medal the following year and contributed substantially to Clontibret’s march to regaining the title this year. 2 Ryan Wylie (Ballybay) One of the best defenders in the game this man had a big impact for Ballybay with his positional sense, speed off the mark to make vital interceptions, his man marking and distribution were all vital components in Ballybay reaching the semi-final, while his penchant for counter-attacking saw him score a magnificent solo point against Inniskeen. 3 Conor Boyle (Clontibret) One of Clontibret’s most consistent players all season, he helped anchor the defence with outstanding displays in the championship and was the man in the gap on more than one occasion especially in the County final, where his anticipation saw him appear from almost nowhere to prevent a shot by Conor McCarthy going into the net. 4 Owen Coyle (Latton) A strong, forceful player Owen Coyle, as joint captain put in a series of dominant displays where he was not only the sheet anchor in the defence, but also the springboard for numerous counter attacks that saw him scoring a couple of valuable points. 5 Ryan O’Toole (Scotstown) One of the new breed of players coming through in Scotstown from underage ranks this young man showed this year that he is developing into a very accomplished defender where he has come into his own at wing half back and proved very adept at limiting the influence of some fairly high-profile wing half forwards, putting in a particularly impressive display in the semi-final replay against Ballybay.
