Children must be accompanied by an adult. • If you plan to bring children in a stroller, be aware that there may be steps or other unsuitable terrain. • Please do not bring pets. • To get to outings on time, check TTC routes and schedules by calling 416-393-4636. • Outings go rain or shine: check the weather by calling 416-661-0123 so you will know what to wear. Saturday DON VALLEY – Nature Walk May 10 Leader: Margaret McRae 10:30 a.m. Meet at the northeast corner of O’Connor Dr. and Beechwood Dr. west of Pape Ave. This will be a circular trip between Beechwood and the Forks of the Don, mainly on narrow informal trails. Those who wish may drop out at Don Mills/Gateway or Thorncliffe Park. Bring lunch and binoculars. Sunday AGGIE’S WILDFLOWERS – Lost Rivers Walk May 11 Leader: Madeleine McDowell and the Humber Heritage Committee 1:00 p.m. Meet at Lambton House, 4066 Old Dundas St. W., on the east bank of the Humber River. City streets and park trails. Could be a good time to see spring wild flowers. This is a joint walk with the Toronto Green Community. Tuesday WILKET CREEK – Nature Walk May 13 Leader: Pleasance Crawford 1:30 p.m. Meet at the southwest corner of Leslie St. and Lawrence Ave. E. We will explore Toronto Botanical Garden and walk south to Eglinton Ave. E. Saturday WILKET CREEK PARK – Nature Walk May 17 Leader: Phoebe Cleverley 10:30 a.m. Meet at the park entrance just north of the northwest corner of Eglinton Ave. E. and Leslie St. Bring lunch and binoculars. This is a joint walk with the Toronto Green Community. Wednesday ROUGE PARK – Evening Ramble May 21 Leader: Orval White 6:30 p.m. Meet at Pearse House, 1749 Meadowvale Rd. north of Sheppard Ave. E. A 2-hour loop walk. Bring binoculars. Thursday CENTENNIAL PARK – Plants May 22 Leader: Peter Money 10:00 a.m. Meet at the bus loop for the Rathburn #48 bus at the west end of Rathburn Rd. (at Mill Rd.). We will explore the forest remnants on the tableland bordering Etobicoke Creek and the valley edge. There may also be birds and mammals. Bring lunch and binoculars. Saturday HIGHLAND CREEK – Nature Walk May 24 Leader: Blair Campbell 10:00 a.m. Meet at the southeast corner of Lawrence Ave. E. and Beechgrove Dr. Bring lunch and binoculars.
