    Showdown in Texas: Hankook 24H COTA (15-17 november) is seizoensfinale 24H SERIES Continents GENNEP/AUSTIN (12 november 2019) – Na races in Azië en Europa is het nu tijd voor de reis naar Noord-Amerika voor de seizoensfinale van de 24H SERIES Continents powered by Hankook 2019. Voor het derde jaar op rij is het Circuit of The Americas in Austin in de Amerikaanse deelstaat Texas de locatie voor de Hankook 24H COTA (15-17 november), georganiseerd door het Nederlandse bureau CREVENTIC. De combinatie van de 24H GT-divisie en de 24H TCE-divisie leidt volgens verwachting tot een startveld van rond de 30 auto’s. “Na twee jaar is ons evenement in de Verenigde Staten nu echt gevestigd”, zegt Peter Freij van CREVENTIC. “Het is plezierig om de toenemende belangstelling van Noord-Amerikaanse teams te zien: ongeveer een derde van het veld bestaat uit teams uit de VS en Canada.” Slechts enkele weken na de Formule 1 staan nu de GT’s en toerwagens centraal op het Circuit of The Americas tijdens de derde editie van de Hankook 24H COTA. “Het organiseren van onze eerste race in Noord- Amerika was twee jaar geleden best een avontuur, maar we werden overweldigd door de fantastische ontvangst die we er kregen. De samenwerking met de medewerkers en het management ter plekke en alle overige betrokkenen is bijzonder plezierig en nu voelt de terugkeer naar Austin echt als thuiskomen”, benadrukt Peter Freij. Rijders uit alle categorieën waarderen het Circuit of The Americas met een hoogteverschil van 40 meter als een van de beste circuits die in de afgelopen tien jaar werden gebouwd.
