I know, I know, Ottawan’s called it the summer of the wet. Bikers complained, boaters complained, campers complained, car shows washed out, patio business sucked, etc. etc. etc. In spite of this, everyone I know seemed to have a great summer (golf courses excluded.) After all, we were celebrating Canada’s 150th, and there were so many great events happening in and around the Nation’s capital. My summer was no exception. I had 3 great fishing trips, including Langara, B.C., a four- day bike run that was dry 3 days out of the four, played golf (poorly) and spent time at the cottage. Needless to say, it was difficult wrapping my head around work and getting this mag out. It’s our annual travel and adventure issue and my writers and contributors came through big time. After reading their submissions, I believe that their summer wasn’t too shabby either. Well, I have to get back at it. As usual I’m running behind but, after the memorable summer I had, its worth the pressure I have to get this issue out on time. And, don’t forget, our music edition comes out early December. If I have an incredible Fall, I will be scrambling for it too.
