Program 4-5-6 April 2018 MTBO Training Camp 7 April 2018. Italian Championships MTB-O Sprint and 1st stage of the Italian Cup WRE, Nove (Vicenza), first starter 15:00 8 April 2018. Italian 2nd stage of Cup MTB-O Middle WRE, Mussolente (Vicenza) first starter 10:00

Participants It is allowed for non-Italian citizens to participate in the Italian Championships and Cup in mountain bike orienteering outside the Italian Championship medal race. Having an Italian Orienteering Federation license is not required in that case. While to compete for the title of Italian championship in mountain bike orienteering 2018 the participant must be either an Italian citizen and be member of an Italian team registered in FISO (Italian Federation Orienteering Sports), to compete in the Italian Cup the athlete just needs to be member of an Italian team registered in FISO.

All Italian Championship and Cup participants must have a valid Italian Orienteering Federation licence for the year 2018. The license must be obtained before the competition day. The competitor’s orienteering club is determined during registration and during the season a competitor may only represent one orienteering club.

Classes MW12; MW14,ESO, DIRECT MW17, MW20, MWElite, MW40, MW50, M60

Starting order In classes WElite and MElite the starting order is determined by the world ranking (http://ranking.orienteering.org/ ). Competitors who are not in the world ranking are drawn to the beginning of the starting list. In order to get a score in the WRE ranking from these competitions, the participant must have an IOF code. Start interval in all classes per race type is: middle 2 minutes, sprint 1 minute.

Terrain and Map Terrain is low ground by a river and flat for Strint race, Flat and hilly ground for Middle race. Final maps will be completed in late winter of 2018. The maps comply with the requirements of ISMTBOM

Nove Mussolente

Punching system In all classes SPORTIdent punching is used. A SI-card can be rented from the organisers for 2 EUR/stage. Rental fee must be paid upon registration with the entry fee. The Renter undertakes to compensate € 64.00 if the SI-card is lost or broken.

For classes MWElite on sprint or middle distance the foreign competitors must register through IOF Eventor (https://eventor.orienteering.org/)

Awards The ranking will be done by adding together the results fo the 2 races. Moreover will be awarded in the Italian Championship with FISO medals the first 3 racers of every agonistic class that are Italian citizens. If a participant not eligible for an Italian championship title is among the top three, they will get a reward from the organiser.
