The State has attracted tourist with its mysticism, virile culture and works of art and crafts since time immemorial. Off Late, Odisha has started being aggressive in attracting tourists to visit its abode by rapidly re-inventing and repackaging the type of product it has to offer the tourism world. What is incredible is the fact that a considerable part of Odisha is still unexplored and still being discovered. The USP of the State in terms of its tourism resource, which sets it apart from other states, can be very well understood from the figure below. This depicts the tourism offering of Odisha to the world. - s Bio MICE Fairs &Fairs Cultural Beaches Tourism Artifacts Heritage Festivals Diversity Religious Historical Historical Handicraft An analysis of Domestic as well as foreign tourists from around the world indicates that the state has an indelible footprint in the tourism map of the country as well as the world. Visitors from only a few domestic States/ UT’s refrain from visiting the 6 Odisha - Towards a new Disha in Tourism State, which otherwise is well on its way to lead the industrial revolution in the east with it’s focus on specific areas of Manufacturing, ESDM, IoT, Automation, Heavy Engineering etc. This will boost business tourism and in association with it bring along the subsets like, Leisure, Cruise (thanks to the large coastline) and other top revenue churners in the tourism domain. An analysis for foreign tourist visit shows that all continents with the exception of Western Europe has grown for the period under consideration. High growth rates can be observed for South Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and South East Asia. Thanks to the Budhdhist resources that throng the state, the state will remain a top draw for the visitors from the South East and South Asian countries. Off late, a few new concepts of tourism has started making a headaway in the Odisha tourism horizon. It would have snapshots of policy highlights, implementation steps in addition to the new investments made in certain fields. This can be introduced in a quarterly frequency and based

This sector is a nursery of entrepreneurship, often driven by individual creativity and innovation. This sector contributes 8 per cent of the country’s GDP, 45 per cent of the manufactured output and 43 percent of its exports. The MSMEs provide employment to about 60 million persons through 26 million enterprises. The labour capital ratio in MSMEs and the overall growth in the MSME sector is much higher than in the large industries. In the present world scenario, there is an urgency to give a boost to industrial activity for a faster growth of economy for which, there is a need for getting relevant information to instill the confidence among entrepreneurs to plan for an appropriate investment strategy either to set up new industry or to enlarge the existing activity in the State. Scholarly Research Journal's is licensed Based on a work at www.srjis.com South Orissa comprises of the undivided districts of Ganjam, Phulbani and Koraput (presently South Orissa divided into eight districts viz., Ganjam, Gajapati, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nawrangapur and Koraput) was a part of the ancient kingdo m of Kalinga, which finds mention in the Mahabharat, a great epic of India. The district of Ganjam originally formed a part of ancient kingdom of Kalinga which was supposed to have been found in the 19 th century B.C. and which extended from the Bengal frontiers of Orissa to the river Godavari, a distance of about 500 miles. The territory comprising a part of the ancient Atavika land referred to in the special rock inscriptions of Ashoka. Ashoka occupied Kalinga in 261 B.C. but the land of the Atavikas, whic h could not be conquered, remained outside his empire. The formation of the linguistic Province of Orissa in 1936 may be regarded as one of the landmarks in the history of the evolution of the Indian Union. The demand for linguistic States, which became s o conspicuous in India after independence, had its genesis in the movement of the Oriya - speaking people for a separate Province in the basis of language during the later half of the British rule.

Different water quality parameters like SST, pH, transparency, dissolved oxygen, salinity, sulphate and nutrients like silicate, phosphate (orthophosphate and total phosphate), nitrite, and nitrate were analyzed during the study period. In addition to this special focus was given to plankton diversity and its relation with different hydrological parameters. Variation in water quality as well as in plankton diversity was observed during the study period. The SST value was maximum during the month of September i.e.30.39°C and minimum during March i.e. 26.88°C. Whereas, pH was maximum during July and minimum during March i.e. 8.19 and 7.52 respectively. The study reported highest transparency of water in November month i.e.
