I’m from Saudi Arabia and have studied English all my life – my family wanted me to get a Canadian passport to create more opportunities for me. I have two aunts living in Barrie and my cousins recommended Georgian, “so when it came to postsecondary studies, I chose to come here.

When I started, my spoken English was good, but my writing needed work. English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Georgian helped me overcome that challenge. They’re ready to support any student facing problems. If you need one-on-one time with teachers, they’re more than willing to help.

Now that I’m in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program, it’s good that the Math Centre is available to us as well.
