Primary Purpose Describe why the role exists in 1 to 3 succinct statements

The National Events Coordinator is responsible for the effective support and execution of the national logistics and prize procurement of Redkite’s signature fundraising event, the Redkite Corporate Quiz as well as supporting the Partnership and Event Coordinators (PEC), Partnership Managers (PM) and Community Fundraising Coordinators (CFC) with the logistics of any large scale beneficiary events held across Australia in support of children and young adults with cancer and their families. This position will work with the National Project Manager -Events to deliver on agreed set of objectives and identify new opportunities to maximise income, reduce expenditure and ensure a national consistency around Redkite events.

Position Key Result Areas

Income Development Assist with the efficient management of the expenditure budget for the Redkite Corporate Quiz and other large fundraising events held in each state Work with National Project Manager – Events and Head of Fundraising to develop and implement plans to significantly grow and build the profile of Redkite’s Corporate Quiz events program Assist with the development and implementation of national event business and action plans to significantly increase income, ROI & reduce expenditure. Logistical coordination, delivery and execution of the Redkite Corporate Quiz nationally to maximise income and ROI in collaboration with the National Project Manager- Events.

Planning & Reporting Provide input into annual strategic planning, budget expense process and related logistical activities for the Redkite Corporate Quiz and large beneficiary events held across the country Assist with the development of strategies and delivery plans to increase the efficiencies and outcomes from the annual Corporate Quiz program Develop and implement the annual critical path for Redkite Corporate Quiz events in conjunction with the National Projects Manager- Events Assist with the evaluation of the overall success of each Redkite Corporate Quiz event against annual objectives, target income & KPIs and provide recommendations based on the delivery Provide regular and timely updates to Senior Management (including Direct Manager) on the current status pre event of the Corporate Quiz and other large events as requested. Provide post event analysis and recommendations to Senior Management (including Direct Manager) for the improvement of event logistics and delivery. Undertake other duties as required and directed by Direct Manager &/or Head of Fundraising

Program Management In conjunction with the National Projects Manager- Events, support state-based Events team members in the development and delivery of national Redkite event opportunities. Program Administration Assist with the planning and execute the delivery of the Redkite Corporate Quiz in NSW, VIC, WA & QLD to reach relationship objectives and budget.

Key Competencies and Experience

Qualifications and training Essential Events and relationship management experience

Desirable Tertiary qualifications or experience in events, not-for-profit studies, communications, marketing or business

Experience and knowledge Essential Not-for-profit fundraising experience specialising in the area of events Budget management with proven results in meeting revenue and expenditure targets Proven success in working with senior stakeholders and networks to develop leads and opportunities for event partnerships and opportunities Proven experience in delivering complex events with key stakeholder involvement Proven sophisticated relationship management experience Experience with securing sponsorship and in-kind support Effective stakeholder, logistic and communication management and delivery of fundraising activities
