African Media Development Initiative Somalia Research findings and conclusions Jamal Abdi Ismail Jamal Abdi Ismail Audience Research Executive Jamal Abdi Ismail currently works as Audience Research Executive for the BBC World Service Trust’s Somali ‘Livestock Livelihood Project’ in Hargeisa. Before joining the Trust, Mr Abdi Ismail worked as a Research Assistant for Farm Africa, and then as a correspondent for the East African Standard, the BBC Swahili service, the Pan African News Agency (PANA), and the Integrated Regional Information Networks (IRIN) organisation. Mr Abdi Ismail has a diploma in Journalism from the Institute of Communication Studies and Development in Nairobi.
