This special event provides a unique opportunity for municipal staff and elected of- ficials to interact with vendors and discuss the new and innovative products that municipalities can use to en- hance services, reduce costs, and improve operations. A number of excellent door prizes were provided by the vendors including a $750 travel voucher provided by the AAMDC’s Aggregated Business Services Divi- sion. CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER • Met with the Minister of Municipal Affairs, Shaye Anderson, regarding the 5:1 Tax Ratio on January 11, 2018. • Met with Alberta Innovates on January 11, 2018 to discuss the Waste to Energy Project. • Met and hosted dinner with the Minister of Indigenous Relations, Richard Feehan, on February 2, 2018. • Hosted Indigenous Relations Training on February 20, 2018. • The County was named one of Alberta’s Top 70 Employers in Mediacorp competition on February 21, 2018. • Attended the official opening of the Dialysis Unit, and hosted a dinner with the Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Sarah Hoffman on February 22, 2018. • Hosted and organized the meeting with Indigenous Relations Government Office, and Beaver Lake Cree Nation on February 23, 2018, to discuss water opportunities. • Attended the Stop Order Compliance Training in Athabasca on February 28, 2018. • Attended the Emergency Advisory Committee Meeting on March 12, 2018. • Attended the Rural Crime Forum on March 13, 2018, hosted by MP for Fort McMurray – Cold Lake, Mr. David Yurdiga’s office. • Hosted and organized the Tourism Stakeholder Session on March 14, 2018. • Attended the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties (AAMDC) conference. • Met with various cabinet ministers during the AAMDC convention, including the Commanding Officer of the K Division, and Director of Alberta Transportation. • The Tourism Marketing & Economic Development Coordinator participated in three Trade Shows: Calgary RV, Edmonton RV, and Edmonton Boat Sportsman Show.
